Barcelona, Spain - Magic Fountain of Montjuïc

It was in the month of October 2011 as we visited Barcelona on our third week vacation in North Spain.

We stayed 2 days and one night to roomed around the beautiful tourist spots of Barcelona like the Ramblas, Gaudi's architectural works, the Market, shopping centers, Gothic Center, the marine and more amazing places.

Two days is enough to see the tourist attractions, but if you want to go shopping 3, 4 days or even a week is ideal to experience more of Barcelona's night life, spend more time and admire Gaudi's works, beaches, gourmet restaurants and other ineteresting places.

Tip: Arrange your trip so that you can adore the fascinating Magic Fountain Show. Spring and Autumn is not so warm as in Summer and the hotels or apartments are a bit cheaper. Dogs are allowed only in the cage in Tourist Tour Bus, Metro. Public Transportation.. So small dog in a cage is not a problem, for middle or big dog no chance. In Gaudi's park, dog is allowed but in other tourist spots, dogs are prohibited. Some restaurants allow dogs.

Having Benda with us, our dog, we did our private car tour around Barcelona and made a hopping to every private parking areas near the tourist attractions.

We did came back to Barcelona for a day until in the evening to watch the fantastic Magic Fountain of Montjuïc.

The fountain was opened on May 19, 1929 during the great Universal Exhibition. The show is accompanied with the rhythm of music that goes with the water acrobatics. An excellent contrast of colors with the light and music show which fascinates the visitors and can be adored for more hours.

Opening hours:

Winter: October to April from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., only on Fridays and Saturdays, show sessions every half hour.

Summer: May to September from 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, show sessions every half hour which begins at 9:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
