Mindblowing Munnar:-)
Located in Kerala, South India, this beautiful paradise on Earth was a summer resort for the British rulers of South India. 'Munnar', in Malayalam means ‘Three Rivers’ or mountain streams, namely- Mudrapuzha, Nallathani and KundalaRivers.
Munnar is famous for its tea and coffee plantations. Situated in the South Western Ghats of South India, surrounded by hills and jungles, the region is an ideal spot for nature lovers and trekkers. Munnar has the highest peak in South India – Anamudi (earlier known as Kannan Devan Hills, after the name of its landlord) which is over 2695m; an ideal spot for trekking.
Apart from trekking, boating, parasailing, hot air ballooning and wild life safaris in the jungles and sanctuary make it a thrilling holiday spot.
So, pack your bags and set off to this Heaven on Earth..but make sure not during the monsoons in July-August. During the winters, don’t forget your sweater as the temperature drops to chilling negatives!
