Never to Old to learn

We are retired (or not), fun loving, curious, searching for new experiences. How can we find all of these things all wrapped up in one? Senior Adult hostels!! Yes!

We used to hear of hostel type travel in our younger years and think: that sounds interesting, traveling along, sharing rooms with others who were adventurous. but never tried it. Well , hostels have changed in recent years. At least the ones created for Seniors have changes. Lodging might be any place from a fine hotel to a cruise ship or perhaps at a University. The list is as long as the desires of those who take part.

I have to admit, I have never tried hostel travel but have certainly heard good things about it. I have met people who traveled to New Mexico, staying in very nice accommodations who learned all about the history and settlers who lived in the area. While learning was the principle reason for the trip, in their spare time they enjoyed all the surrounding scenery, local culture and sunrises and sunsets that were unbelievable!

Elder hostels are available nationwide and also, international! Yes, you can travel all over the world with an Elder Hostel group. The trips are not cheap but are available in varying costs so you can probably find one that is affordable for you.

You can probably find a Hostel in most any city you wish to visit. Just to name a few in California: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Sausalito,

If you wish to visit other countries: England, Germany, Spain, and the list goes on and on.
