These are all of a very good standard and you are sure to get a warm welcome if you do visit the any of them.
Another popular option for people who stay near Port Isaac is a privately rented holiday home. There are lots of excellent holiday homes in this area and some of them are set in some stunning scenery. If you want to visit the area and save some money then there are lots of camping and caravan sites in the area. These are set in some wonderful Cornish scenery and really are a great alternative to other forms of accommodation.
Things To Do In Port Isaac
Aside from the appeal of Doc Martin there is plenty of other things to do in Port Isaac. As Port Isaac is quite a touristy place there are a few nice little gift shops in the town. There is also a lovely gallery on the main street which showcases some wonderful local art. Port Isaac also has an interesting little lifeboat station that is interesting to have a look round. There are also a few nice pubs in Port Isaac, most of these are very nice places and have really good friendly atmospheres, some of them serve home made food and as Port Isaac is on the coast you often get some excellent fresh sea food in some of the pubs in the village.
One of the main appeals of Port Isaac is the scenery. There is a lovely beach here that is beautiful in the summer months. There are lots of interesting rock pools which are full of marine life and are ideal for children to look around. The sea here tends to be quite calm due to it being an inlet, this means it can be a good place to go swimming as the waves are not usually quite as big here.
There is some stunning coastline in this area that is well worth exploring. Cornwall has some amazing beaches, great surfing and spectacular coastal walks. If you head either way up or down the coast there are so many lovely little quaint villages in the area and plenty of wonderful scenery to enjoy.
