About Laie
Laie is located on the northeastern tip of the island of Oahu in the Koolauloa District in Honolulu county, Hawaii. It lies between Hauula and Kahuku 23 miles north of Honolulu, Hawaii. The town of Laie has a population of around 5,000. Major attractions include Laie Bay, the Polynesian Cultural Center , Brigham Young University - Hawaii and the LDS Laie Hawaii Temple . Residents come from various Pacific Island countries such as Tonga, Samoa, New Zealand, Cook Islands, Fiji, and there are many from Mainland USA and other countries. The residents of Laie are serviced by the Laie Shopping Center and other shops and restaurants.
