Sippin On that Moonshine

Updated on August 11, 2017

Some tastes like grape. Others taste like apple pie

Sipping on my moonshine, as life slowly passes by

I stop to enjoy the flavor of the day

Drinking another gulp, and send me on my way

Ole Smoky Moonshine, it’s the place to go

Deliciousness, that seems to never get old

It’s refreshing and a treat to sip from a glass

Pour it over some rocks of ice and make it last

So many kinds to try, so many things to see

At the good Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery

But of course you want to sip this beverage please

We all know with moonshine we must drink responsibly

And now as I finish this poem for you

I will fill the glass again. That makes number two.

So if you take a trip to Gatlinburg Tennessee

Stop by the Ole Smokey Moonshine Distillery

Taste test a few, or try them all

I guarantee you will have a ball

Have you had some of Ole Smoky's Moonshine?

See results

I will be living in North Carolina soon, so I will be closer to the distillery. I am looking forward to making moonshine runs. Of course, it will be legal. But it will also be fun. And I am sure they will have new flavors to try.

      F5000,

Unless you drink "shine" from a jar, you are not really drinking moonshine. You drink it by the swig and not from a glass. Of course, it really depends how much shine you are willing to drink in order to show one's *ss. SMiles. Loved the poem! Thank U! V+ you won't love shine if you don't love the burn ; )Kim
