3 Teams in Tucson
In March, the Major League Baseball season begins in Tucson with spring training. Tucson plays host to three major league baseball teams. Teams that do not have their spring training homes in Tucson, but come as visitor teams, are the Anaheim Angels, Chicago Cubs, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, Seattle Mariners, and Texas Rangers.
The Colorado Rockies have played at Hi Corbett Field during spring training since that team began in 1993. When the Arizona Diamondbacks were created in 1998, Tucson Electric Park was built as their spring training facility. The Chicago White Sox moved their spring training home to Tucson Electric Park that same year.
Spring training is a great way to watch your favorite teams before the season begins. Spring training is also a great way to see teams that are hard to get regular season tickets to or have expensive regular season tickets. In my opinion, the best game to see is the Chicago Cubs versus the Chicago White Sox. It is not easy to get tickets to the regular season series between these teams, but it is a lot easier to see them face off in spring training.
