In this article I will be reviewing my recent trip to Florida with TUI onboard their Boeing 787 Dreamliner

TUI Boeing 787

Check in / TUI staff

The morning of the flight went nice and smoothly thanks to the professional hardworking check In staff doing their checks and checking my bags to my flight quickly. The staff where polite, well mannerd and looked professional in their uniform.

There was a problem with our original plane ( I was at the gate early and saw the original plane pushed away and replaced ) but there was no delay and the other passengers wouldn’t have known any different.

The staff at the gate ran operations smoothly getting everyone onboard the plane as quickly and stress free as they possibly could. From the time the gate was announced until the time we was sat comfortably on the plane felt like no time at all.

The Flight / Cabin Crew

Boarding was quick and easy the cabin crew guided me to my seat and I was sat down ready for my flight in no time at all.

The flight safety instructions where clear and professional.

The staff onboard where brilliant they made the flight easy and enjoyable with their help, hospitality and professionalism I couldn’t speak more highly of them.

There was an issue as the plane wasnt the one we where originally traveling to Florida on there was a different seat configuration meaning I didn’t get the extra leg room that I had paid for. This issue was immediately after asking the caving crew they apologised and give me all of the relevant information of what to do so I could get my money refunded for the extra legroom.

Eight hours on a plane is a long time well for me not for some but the flight passed pretty quickly it was smooth with no turbulence and the food was pretty good too. The seat was comfy and big enough for me and I’m 6ft. The leg room was also good to say this plane wasn’t in its long haul configuration and I had plenty of room to move about.

Bowling game onboard

Inflight entertainment / life saver

The flight was smooth and the inflight entertainment kept me entertained for a good while. There was good selection of up to date list of movies and tv shows to keep you entertained for a good portion if not all of the flight.

The screen was a good size in economy even big enough to play games on as you can see I spent a good while playing bowling as I’m a big kid really.

There aren’t any actual plug sockets like you may get on other airlines but there is a usb socket that provides power so you can charge your smartphone or potentially any device that charges through usb.

During the flight the pilot wanted to show off the new style of ambient cabin lighting to cut cut down jet lag by passing down the cabin different coloured strobe lighting and told us about the other things that is new to the Boeing 787 aircraft that we don’t see that makes that plane unique.

From this article would you consider flying with TUI?
