The Hub Page Break Room

Updated on August 2, 2015

Now since I just got finished recommending a mascot for our Hub Pages in my last hub, I thought it was now time to recommend another feature for our Hub Pages. Just about every single work place has a break room where workers can stop and rejuvenate themselves, and the Hub Pages should be no different. I'm not referring to the 15 staffers of the Hub Pages, who I'm sure already have their very own stocked break room. I'm referring to the 83,405 hubbers as of December 29th 2014, who are the very ones who are busy writing in the trenches. Just like the old McDonald's commercial goes - "You deserve a break today", and so do all of the hard working hubbers who write here on the hub pages. All of these folks need a break as well from all of the long hours of writing their hubs along with other task such as answering all of those important questions.

Now I totally realize that it's not actually possible to have a break room located in a geological location where every hubber could take full advantage of it, but just imagine the possibility's if that could really happen. With hubbers from every nook and cranny from around the world, the Hub Page break room would be constantly beaming with activity and excitement.

There would always be an awesome constant exchange of great information, thoughts, and ideas for new hubs buzzing all around the break room. There would be refrigerators, and vending machines full of all sorts of exotic foods from every corner of the world. The break room would be full of all sorts of delicious aromas from all of these different exotic foods warming up in the microwaves, and coffee makers brewing different blends of coffee from all over this blue and green planet.

There wouldn't be a break room schedule like at other businesses posted on the door such as - "The first break shall commence no earlier than beginning of the second hour, nor later than the end of the third hour. The second break shall commence no later than the beginning of the sixth hour, and no later than the end of the seventh hour". Instead all hubbers would be allowed to come and go whenever they want, and stay for as long as their heart desired.

There will always be hubbers who are busy working on hubs, and therefore not everyone will be in the break room at the same exact time. However this break room would still have to be tremendous in size to accommodate all of the hubbers who are in desperate need of a break. This would be a break room like no other in the world over.

In this break room there would be tables, chairs, sofas, recliners, televisions, telephones, a cooking area, and separate rest rooms to name just a few of the amenities. Since this would be the official Hub Page break room the walls would have bulletin boards with official Hub Page announcements along with interesting facts like the world's largest meatball weighing in at a healthy 1,110 pounds 7.84 ounces, and the largest box of popcorn holding 1,857 cubic feet of popcorn posted on them. There would be no computers of any kind allowed inside of the Hub Page break room. After all you are supposed to be on break!

Now I know that you're thinking to yourself that the Hub Pages already has Hub camps and local meetups, however these events are only in certain regions, and many folks are excluded from these sort of things because of simply where they live. Now I am also aware that there are forums, questions, and comment areas on hubs where we can all exchange ideas, but that's still not the same as face to face contact where we have the comradely of fellow hubbers who are on break. This entire hub was simply just a thought, but who knows maybe someday there actually will be a Hub Page break room for all of us.

We could always go with an optional Western theme décor in our Hub Page break room.

If this break room actually existed would you be willing to take your breaks there?
