Toronto: The Subway Experience

I am a commuter today!

Took the “rocket” to work

To save money and energy.

Sure, it's cheaper than driving,

And a lot faster than my bike!

I walked, I climbed the stairs

And down, I stretched my legs.

I smiled at strangers,

Clashed with some chaps.

No bad or dangerous drivers

But the crowd is more like a road rage.

I like the scene inside the subway,

People seem to mind their own business.

This rapid transit is amusing,

There’s even entertainment at the platform.

Singers and musicians staging talents,

Young lovers holding hands and capering.

I don’t mind taking the subway

Except when I’m next to a commuter

Who's snoring and drooling or next to a buddy

Whose body smells like garlic or the

One whose coat smells like a morgue!

So, welcome aboard the rocket,

This is your F.A. speaking

In English not in French,
