Launched in July 2015 on Kickstarter, The BauBax Travel Jacket targeted to only raise $20,000 USD however soon after the campaign became not only the most funded in the clothing category but in crowdfunding history after the two Pebble Smart Watches and the multi-purpose Coolest Cooler box.

Now the BauBax Travel Jacket has come to Indiegogo with its success flowing having reached the Indemand stage since its October launch. Since then it has raised over $11.2 million dollars to date (5th April)

Dobbed "The Swiss Army Knife of Travel Wear" by CNN, The BauBax Travel Jacket is available in four styles for men and women and includes a whopping 15 features, including a built-in inflatable neck rest, eye mask and various pockets for all your devices.

The BauBax Travel Jacket is an all in one jacket designer by Yoganshi Shah and was inspired by his wife, a designer who traveled regularly coast to coast.

The BauBax Travel Jacket is a very simple and elegant idea born out of necessity. With the idea inspired by MBA student Yoganshi Shah's wife, a designer who regular traveled coast to coast but forgot her neck pillow on a trip. And after months of research the BauBax Travel Jacket was born.

The design is well crafted, researched and made of a number of quality fabrics suitable for each style of appeal. Beyond the multiple functional pockets incorporated into the BauBax Travel, It also has a number of unique features not found in other jackets such as:

• Zipper pocket with telescoping pen/stylus

And it are these features or a combinations of them that makes the BauBax design works and so appealing. They are both simple and great ideas. And without going into details i am sure you can see why. The proof's in the pudding.

Finally, a feature i would like to see in the BauBax Travel Jacket is the ability to fold for compact storage but that might be asking for too much.

The BauBax Travel Jacket is well positioned in terms of price ranging from $149 to $199 depending on styles on Indiegogo as well as its future retail prices as seen in the table below. Pricing be comparable to most quality GoreTex Jackets if not slightly under more established brands.

While on the topic of pricing, it should be noted that originally the BauBax Jacket was priced ranging from $89 and $120 on Kickstarter. But a slight raise should not be a surprise as i assume refinements and iterations to improve quality since its first production run.

In terms of function The BauBax Travel Jacket is good value for money.

The The BauBax Travel Jacket is a great all rounder and could be the only jacket you will ever need and if four different style and a number of colours your set for any engagement or environment, The BauBax Jacket amazingly could be said to target the designers, tech savvy among us but like its many features it also has as many wide consumer appeal.

The BauBax Jacket is a jacket i need and certainly will replace my existing Leather Jackets or windbreakers but even if i do not its so versatile i am sure to find situations where i wear it.

And for men, it could replace a need for a man bag or even a wallet.

Owning a WindBreaker and Blazer will certainly cover all my needs formal or when camping or fishing all year round. No wonder the BauBax Travel Jacket has been such a successful campaign on both Kickstarter and Indiegogo.

As a practical person and one less concerned about fashion trends, the BauBax Travel Jacket is the perfect Jacket for my needs. Certainly i would need less jackets with the BauBax being my default going-out Jacket. In that sense the reduction in my consumption with aid in zero waste and thus our environmental footprint. This Jacket certainly will effect our lives and if not more in future.

The BauBax Travel Jacket is a well designed product and priced correctly. It has a plenty of features to suit its intended market but also the versatility and appeal for a wider market, its not surprising it has done so well on both Kickstarter and Indiegogo and deserves the title of "The Swiss Army Knife of Travel Wear" by CNN.

My only final thoughts i have after reviewing the comments on the campaign by backers relates to the overwhelming concerns with delivery dates. While i can not speak for BauBax in my experiences individuals who has not been involved with production or setting up a new business will not appreciated delays will happen and there is a big learning curved involved. So be patient and how i the situations its the price or risk you pay for the Indiegogo discount on the retail price. There are scam campaigns and badly ran ones too but this does not appeal to be that.

The BauBax Travel Jacket, Simple idea, well designed, value for money and i am looking forwards to futures products from the group.
