Over 80 years ago, Marysville became known as "The Strawberry City" due to the prolific strawberry growth capabilities of the area. In honor of this, Marysville holds a Strawberry Festival and Grand Parade every year in mid-June. The event features many activities, and the parade includes a drive by of classic autos.
Biringer Farm, located in Arlington, is a great place to pick - or just buy - fresh strawberries when they are in season.
Boom City, located behind the Tulalip Resort, is one of the largest collections of fireworks vendors in existence. For several weeks leading up to the 4th of July, this becomes an attraction that brings people from many miles away. A large pit is offered to allow detonation of your purchases, and is a wonderful place to watch an endless display of fireworks. Be sure to bring goggles and a hat to ward off the falling debris.

There are many local parks in the area. The Marysville Skate Park is open to skateboarders of all skill levels and ages. Weekend mornings are reserved for younger skateboarders - wonderful for allowing them to develop their skills in a less competitive environment.
