Places to visit Australia. Thredbo Ski Resort

Thredbo Australia - Is definitely in my top ten holiday spots. This is where I met what I thought would be the woman I would marry; The place I felt sheer joy at being one with nature and one every time I visit I cannot wait to return. The place is used around the year in winter it is a ski resort, I first visited Thredbo in 1979 and have made a point of visiting ever since. visiting in1980,81,82,83,84,8689,90,90,91,92.

Thredbo Ski Resort Village is considered to be probably the best ski resort in Australia. It has Australia's greatest vertical, at 621 metres, and all the facilities of a major resort. It boasts Australia's highest lift, but also the mainland's lowest base, at just 1365 metres, below the natural snowline. In summer it is a beautiful place to visit with lots of activities such as golf tennis bushwalking and fishing. The resort has lots of Restaurants. Moreover the air is so fresh here you can feel it doing you good the minute you arrive.

Thredbo Australia in summer is equally a great place to visit. It offers great respite from the searing heat of the rest of Australia due to its altitude. The first week in January Thredbo Hosts National Running Week which brings together runners and their families from around Australia. This is the event in which I met my long time girlfriend Marion. Marion was/is a runner also- sop we had very much in common and for me it was love at first sight. We spent most of the week together. The environment was perfect. As things developed it was not long before I was commuting every weekend to and from Canberra to Sydney to see her. As well we trained together and entered running events and triathlons together.

During the summer months the weather is generally clear blue skies and sunshine without the humidity and stinking heat of the ciites especially during Australlia summer peak temerature period of January and February. There are lots of bushwalks you can go on . The area is  so kind to the ears with no hum of traffic or other noise to disturb the peace.
