Top Summer Destinations Near Manila
It's Summertime!
Oh the joy of summer! Vacation here and there, the heat of the sun touching you, the scent of the sea while you are relaxing, but wait, you are in the Metro, how will you feel relax and where is the aroma of the beach?
Don't worry! I got you guys! Here's a list of summer destinations that are just hours away from Manila.
Boracay de Cavite
As what most people would say.
But it is actually called Katungkulan Beach Resort located at Gregorio Lim Marine Base in Calumpang, Ternate, Cavite.
The beach has a white to grayish sand, that is so fine and soft to the feet. The water are clean but not blue like in Boracay. The scenery are so striking, and Corregidor is visible from the beach.
Cottages and rooms are available for a day visit or an overnight visit. Store where you can buy food, drinks, etc, is also available inside the resort. You can bring your own food and you can also cook inside the resort. You can also assemble your tents if you want to.
It is a bit overcrowded during summer, holy weeks, long weekends. Another drawback is that shower and toilets are not that maintained.
But overall, it's a good resort to visit during summer vacation.

A two-hour drive from manila, to witness a beautiful water cascade - Daranak Falls.
This wonderful destination are for day trippers and nature lover. There is the Sierra Madre Mountain ranges were the beautiful waterfalls are to be found.
Daranak Falls
Located at a government-owned property, the 14 meter high water cascading into a deep catch basin is the main attraction of Barangay Tandang Kutyo.
Another attraction at the same place is the other small waterfalls in the area. Some are used as a natural water massage, due to the pressure it does in the body.
There is also the thing called "Rock Balancing", where people balance rocks of different shapes and sizes and compete with others.
The disadvantage is that it tends to be over crowded during weekends and holidays, because of its popularity and ease of access.
The place is open from 8AM to 5PM.
