Travel Delightfully with Karen Brown's Guide Books to The USA and Mexico

Updated on June 10, 2012

Karen Brown's Guides To the Americas

I have already written a hub on Karen Brown's beautiful guide books to Europe.

In this hub, I shall be devoting the space to the Americas: the USA and Mexico, in fact!

You can find Karen Brown guides, on Amazon, dating back to the 1990s, but, for this hub, I shall concentrate on the editions published since 2006.

The earlier the book, the more chance that it will be available at a bargain price, but remember that it might be out of date. These early editions are often only available from third party sellers, if buying via Amazon.

The regions of the United States of America that Karen Brown and her team cover are: California, New England, Pacific North West and the Mid Atlantic region.

Travel Beautifully with Karen Brown's Guide Books - Europe (France, Spain, England, etc)

Travel Beautifully!

The reason I named the Karen Brown articles 'Travel Delightfully' and 'Travel Beautifully', is because of the wonderful artwork on the covers of her guide books.

The artist responsible for these alluring images is Jan Pollard.

Her cover images are absolutely beautiful! You will want to step directly into those gorgeous pictures!

If you wish to discover the most attractive guide books to be bought online ~ look no further than this article.

If you wish to discover more about the artist, then here is a link to her site:

Karen Brown's Mexico 2010: Exceptional Places to Stay & Itineraries (Karen Brown's Guides)

The 2010 guide is the latest that I have found. The newer the guide, the more likely it is to have up-to-date information, but, sometimes, there is little difference between the editions and older publications can offer good value for money.

2009: Kindle / 'Look Inside'

Some Karen Brown Guide Books ~ the 2009 editions ~ are available as Kindle 'books'.

What is more, the 2009 editions often give you the chance to 'look inside' on Amazon.

The facility to 'look inside' means that you can view before you purchase, so that you know exactly what you are buying before parting with your money! Very useful!

This facility might give a good idea of what to expect within these guide books ~ and specifically what will be found in the 2009 editions ~ ie. the ones available as Kindle editions.

You can 'look inside' the 2009 Karen Brown Guide Books for Mexico ~ and for the following regions of the USA: California, New England, Pacific North West and Mid Atlantic.

As noted, 2009 'Kindle' editions are available for these same guide books.

NB: Earlier Editions

At present ~ January 2011 ~ the latest edition of the Karen Brown guides that I can find is dated 2010.

It is usually possible to buy these ~ or earlier editions ~ from, or via, Amazon, if you would like to do so. Often these older versions may only be available for purchase from third party sellers. The earliest I have been able to find ~ for sale via an Amazon third party ~ was the 1996 Karen Brown guide book for California.

By purchasing a slightly out-of-date edition, or a second hand copy, you might pick up a real bargain! But do check, because older versions may not contain the up-to-date information that you may require.

Be careful to check what you are buying ~ It may turn out to be a false economy!
