Some of the many Las Vegas free standing Wedding Chapels.
Elvis Wedding At Graceland Wedding Chapel ~ So Much Fun!
A Lot Of Ways To Get Married Here...
There might be as many ways to get married in and around Las Vegas and Nevada as there are couples out there thinking about getting married. There are also vow renewal ceremonies offered that can be done at many of the locations.
If you're looking for something truly different and unique, consider getting married in Las Vegas at one of their approximately 50 Wedding Chapels. Las Vegas is world famous for their many free standing wedding chapels. Most Las Vegas hotels also offer wedding chapels inside the hotels. Whether your taste runs from elegant and traditional to creative and "kitschy".. you'll find exactly what you are dreaming of here in Las Vegas!
Some of these wedding chapels are historical landmarks, and have been the sites of scenes from many movies. Celebrities have been married here as well. One of the landmarks here is the "Little Church Of The West" where many movies have been made. There are also many famous "Elvis themed" chapels like the "Graceland Chapel," where Jon Bon Jovi was married and the "Viva Las Vegas" wedding chapel.
The appeal of these chapels lies in the ease of planning a wedding and the versatility of ceremony styles available, not to mention the huge choice of wedding packages. All this, and if you like, you can even go through the "drive thru" window at some of them and order up a wedding package! If you want a little more "tradition" you can get married inside the chapel, and some even offer to perform the ceremony outdoors under a gazebo.
The prices of weddings here can range tremendously, from $199 on the low end, to around $2,000 or more on the higher end. It all depends on what you want! Just looking at the many websites to find the perfect wedding destination for your special day can seem overwhelming, but one good thing to do as you are planning is to look up internet reviews of experiences other people had when they used these wedding chapels.
You have to remember that the reviews are going to be based on one person's experience. Most wedding chapel reviews are good, but a few couples have had some bad experiences. For the most part, however, the wedding chapels here do an excellent job both in customer service and in the actual ceremony.
Many celebrities have been married both in Las Vegas and in the state of Nevada. Here in Las Vegas, celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Jon Bon Jovi, Zsa Zsa Gabor and Kelly Ripa have all been married. And in Carson City, Nevada, Barbra Streisand married Elliot Gould, and some have been married in beautiful Lake Tahoe, including Robin Williams and Alicia Silverstone.
There are such a wide variety of ways to get married here, from a marriage on horseback at Red Rock Canyon, to a marriage ceremony at Lake Las Vegas. You can even get married sky diving, or at area 51, where you can have an "alien" themed wedding. The choices are almost limitless, and the memories will be forever, however you choose to be married here.
The State of Nevada performs more weddings per capita than any other state in the nation, and one of the reasons is the ease of obtaining a marriage license. There is no blood test, no waiting period, and most county clerk offices are open until midnight. For a simple fee of $60, and proof of age and identification, you will be able to get a wedding license. Soon after that, you can head over to the chapel of your choice and get married (but you must plan ahead and have a reservation at that chapel). You wouldn't want to be forced to have a 3:00 am ceremony! Or maybe you would... you could probably have that as well!
You can get married just about anywhere your heart desires here, from golf courses to nature preserves, to ghost mining towns, to beautiful state parks and lakes...the possibilities are almost as limitless as your imagination! Care to try skydiving? Take the "plunge" literally, from 12,000 feet in the air!
So, whether you are looking for "kitschy" or traditional, let your imagination roam free, and get married in Las Vegas, or in other parts of Nevada. Or renew your wedding vows as a way of saying to your love, "I would marry you all over again." It is bound to be a day that you will remember forever.
