When in Hong Kong: Immigration Questions for a First Timer, Experiences and Food
Hong Kong is not the safest place for vacation nowadays because of the ongoing protest. We were there three weeks ago, and we have witnessed the rally. Although we were somewhat expecting it, we still felt scared as it was just within our hostel. The protest started at around 1:00 PM and we were not able to leave our room until morning. We were not able to eat and buy food since all the establishments were closed.
It was my first out of the country travel but my friend has been in different Asian country already. She wondered why I’m taking a bit longer in immigration than anybody else and remembered that because I’m a first timer. It was her first time using her renewed passport that is why she was also asked if it was her first time. When she said no, she was asked to show her old passport. Luckily, she brought it.
