A wonderful place very tasty typical beach with good food my love Brazil

My love Brazil

Brazilians eager for shade and fresh water, the beaches of the small town of Alagoas impress for beauty and transparency. It takes a sunny day - and the wind or rain do not insist on stirring up the waters - so that the potential of the Maragogi Sea is revealed.

Surrounded by corals that form a beautiful set of natural pools, Maragogi is a place to be in direct contact with nature. Visiting the natural pools (also called galleys), you are sure to come across many fish and different species of marine life. There are three pools where there are boat trips: the “main” galleys - which are the largest natural pools in Alagoas -, Taocas and Barra Grande, which can be known walking in the low tide period. The tours to visit the natural pools are great attractions of Maragogi.

Maragogi has several different beaches and each has its own peculiarities. One detail that draws attention is that the difference between the beaches between the full tide and the low tide is incredible - at the full tide the sea becomes more hectic, while at low tide the beaches gain a long strip of sand, allowing small pools to form and be accessible by hiking. On some beaches, it is possible to walk up to one kilometre per “inside” the sea, until you reach the water.

Maragogi, the main beach, is the one that has the most movement due to the many bars and restaurants along the waterfront - the beach has structure, but there are others more interesting in Maragogi, don't summarize your trip just to the central area. The beaches of the north coast, in the direction of the border with Pernambuco have a more beautiful color.

If you want to visit one of the most interesting beaches in the region, head to Peroba, on the border with Pernambuco, and enjoy a serene sea, with the right to admire many pools formed by coral. Xaréu is another of the beaches that deserve to be highlighted. The stretch of sand of this beach is not extensive, but, at low tide, it is possible to walk several meters into the sea and enjoy a beach with shallow waters, ideal for children.

Ponta de Mangue and Barra Grande - perhaps two of the most successful beaches in the region - cannot be left out of your list. Barra Grande has a sand bank that allows you to go to the natural pools at low tide and Ponta de Mangue is ideal for rest. Antunes, which has the support of sellers is another great choice to enjoy the sea having something to eat and drink around.

Second most visited city in the State of Alagoas has natural pools, calm beaches and comfortable hotels and hostels

Going to the small town of Maragogi, in the north of Alagoas, is to feel in the Caribbean without having to leave Brazil. The paradisiacal beaches — dense coconut trees, clear and greenish waters — live up to the comparison. Diving into the calm sea of Maragogi is to observe very closely coral reefs and have the body surrounded by colorful fish.
The location of the city is privileged: about 130 km from Maceió and Recife, with easy access by the two capitals. Maragogi — whose name comes from “free river” — is part of the Corais Coast, the largest Environmental Protection Area (APA) of the Brazilian Navy. Created by decree in October 1997, the APA of Costa dos Corais is 150 km long and covers four municipalities of Pernambuco (São José da Coroa Grande, Barreiros, Tamandaré and Rio Formoso) and nine of Alagoas (in addition to Maragogi, Barra de Santo Antônio, São Luís do Quitunde, Passo de Camarajibe, São Miguel dos Milagres, Port of Pedras and Japaratinga). Maragogi's fame comes from its impressive natural pools — called Galés. Around 6 km from the beach, they form on the high seas due to coral reefs. It is possible to reach the Galés by speedboat or catamaran. Most hotels and hostels offer the tour for around R$ 50 per person, with an average duration of 2 hours.

The tourist has the option to dive into the surface using snorkel or, if you want to go deeper, cylinders. You don't have to be a professional to opt for diving with cylinders or even know how to swim. The maximum depth explored is 5 meters and an instructor accompanies the diver through the arm all the time.

When the measurement indicates a tide above 0.5 m is a warning signal, as many points in the natural pools may not stand. It is necessary to redouble the care of children so that they do not drown or hurt themselves in the reefs. In a few days, the tour to Wales does not take place in the face of the risks of high tide.

With just over 7,000 inhabitants, Japaratinga combines the tranquility and charm of an old fishing village with an efficient tourist structure of bars and inns. Tired of the crystal clear sea? Take the opportunity to get to know a little more about the history of the municipality and visit the Matriz Church of Nossa Senhora das Candeias, built by Dutch people.
Best time to go:
If so many beauties gathered in one place were not enough, Maragogi was still blessed with perfect weather all year round. The sun gives the air of grace practically every day. The average annual temperature of the city is 27ºC. More than choosing the season, it is to keep an eye on the tidal board, because tours to the natural pools, the most sought after in the city, are only possible in low tide season. A good tip is to keep an eye on the moon. The period of full moon and new moon are the ones that record the lowest tides.

Travel

If there is time available, also visit nearby beaches of Maragogi such as Japaratinga, Porto das Pedras, Patacho, São Miguel dos Milagres and others.

To get to know the region in its most beautiful form, be sure to make the trip in the low tide period so that you can enjoy the natural pools and beaches with long stretches of sand. Check out the site of the Environment of Alagoas to see the sea conditions in the city; there may be beaches unsuitable for diving, especially in the central area, which has more people.

Eating outside the tourist area.

Restaurants and snack bars located in the tourist areas are much more expensive. So when you go to lunch or dinner, step away from the tourist centre and you will soon notice the difference in prices. So you'll be able to save and still eat well.

And if you want to save even more, go to the market, do the shopping, and prepare the food at home (if you like) or a sandwich in the hotel room (those who travel low cost knows what I'm talking about!

See 7 safety tips for travelling

Traveling without worries is very good! But even in these moments it is important to take care of the details. We have made a list of 7 safety tips to travel, so you avoid problems and ensure the smooth running of the trip! 1 — Attention to documentation One of the safety tips is to check all the necessary documentation for the trip. If the journey is by car, keep the vehicle and driver's documents in hand. On trips abroad, make a copy of the first page of your passport, so in case of loss, you will have some proof. Also carry other personal documents with you, in a backpack or handbag. This way, you will be protected if your luggage is lost. Speaking of which, it is also worth checking out the necessary documents for traveling with children. Stay tuned before you leave and make sure your documents are up to date!

2 — Load your vaccination card
Another document of extreme importance and worth as one of the safety tips for travel, is the vaccination card. Immunization is indicated by the Ministry of Health and other international health agencies to prevent disease contagion.

3 — Take out travel insurance
The main feature of casualties is that we do not know when and where they may happen. Keep the safety tips to travel in mind and remember that insurance is the guarantee that if you need medical attention, you won't have to pay for unexpected and extremely high expenses. For example, at the time of the purchase of the bus ticket, some motorways offer the inclusion of the insurance fee, which is of utmost importance for ensuring the safety of travellers. Always check the insurance coverage contracted and its benefits. Also, see if they are suitable for the trip you will make. 4 — Attention to your baggage Put some identifying items in your luggage, including your hand luggage, and keep them close to you. Never leave unaccompanied baggage at bus stations and airports. Avoid placing valuables in the bags that will be checked and carrying at least one change of clothes in your hand baggage in case of emergencies.

5 — Care for your money
Never keep all your money, credit and debit cards in one place. In case of loss of a wallet or purse, for example, everything is lost. The ideal is to keep them in different places and, of course, safe. It is also recommended to make a forecast of how much one intends to spend, including on tours, and take only enough cash in cash. When walking the streets, do not put your wallet in the back pocket of your pants, so you will prevent your money from falling out of your pocket and being lost

6 — Be cautious with strangers
Travel is always a great way to make friends and meet people, but it's worth the attention and care. The rules we follow in our cities to avoid problems with strangers must be followed anywhere. This is one of the important safety tips for traveling. Also remember to keep someone informed about your location in case of an emergency. Following these simple tips, for sure you will have a quieter holiday and trips that will be remembered for the good moments they have provided you.

7 — Safety tips: buying tickets online is safe
With the Internet we can carry out various activities, including buying bus tickets online. This makes life easier for those who don't have time to get to the bus station. It is good to buy your ticket before the trip and even look for the next destination.
