ArtPrize In Grand Rapids, Michigan
World's Largest Art Competition
Grand Rapids, MIchigan holds the world's BIGGEST ART COMPETITION and even if you are not an art lover you will love this. This competition is for many forms of art; painting, photography, sculpting and much more.
The great thing about this Art Competition is that it is held within a few square miles in downtown Grand Rapids. Where is Grand Rapids? Grand Rapids is in the great State of Michigan. Grand Rapids is on the West side of the State and home of the Gerald R. Ford Museum, the Frederik Meijer Gardens and of course, the world's BIGGEST ART COMPETITION.
This years competition is being held from September 19th, 2012 to October 7th, 2012. The name ArtPrize should also tell you that there are prizes involved. This years total prize money is $560,000.
This lens is to show you the diversity of ArtPrize with many photo's of the outside exhibits with the hopes that you will make plans to come to Grand Rapids, Michigan to see for yourself.

Horses in the Grand River
The Grand River runs through downtown Grand Rapids with a walk-way along the river and many of the exhibits are along this walk-way. A great way to see many of the ArtPrize entries. We went on a beautiful Fall day and it was wonderful to see all the people enjoying all the exhibits and food vendors along the way if you needed something cool to drink or a snack to munch on as you strolled along.
For 2012 there are 1,517 entries within 161 venues all within a 3 square mile radius.

While in downtown Grand Rapids you must visit the Gerald R. Ford Museum. Historical, beautiful and educational.
After you've finished touring the Gerald R. Ford Library, walk across the street and visit the Grand Rapids Museum. Awesome!
