Summer Camp Locations in the Capital District
Afrim's Summer Action Camp is an indoor soccer complex located in Loudonville just shy of Wolfe road on Albany Shaker road. They offer full and half-day indoor camps from children age 3-11 and are divided into two age groups, 3-6 and 7-11. They provide all snacks, drinks and lunches along with extended care options.
Summer Camp runs June 25, 2012 - August 31, 2012
Hours: Half days: 9 am - 12:00 pm; Full Days: 9 am - 4pm (lunch included)

Albany Tennis Club offers several one week programs in a 15 hour per week format for juniors, teens and adults.
A week of tennis for 3 hours for the 10 – 14 year olds and 2 hours for the 4 – 10 year olds.

Capital District YMCA Summer Programs
The Capital District YMCA has several chapters that offer summer programs for a wide age of ranges. Programs vary based on location and age.
Ciccotti Family Center
The Rudy A Ciccotti Family Center is located off of Wolfe Road in Latham, NY and offers an array of summer activities from full-day care, mini-programs and group swim lessons. Camps include sports camps for almost any sport including baseball, softball, cheerleading and basketball. General topic camps include carpentry, cooking and technology. Performing arts camps including dance, theater and music. Many of the camps do not require you to be a member.
Children's Museum of Science and Technology
The Children's Museum of Science and Technology Located in Troy, NY CMOST hosts science camps for 5-14 year olds that run from June 28 - September 3. Camps are organized into age groups and include topics for the younger kids such as Adventures in Science; Engineering Simple Machines; Body Science to more advanced topics for older kids such as Nano Camp and Solar Science & Spring cars.

Colonie Youth Center Camp
The Colonie Youth Center has programs for resident and non-resident school aged children. Camps are offered at several locations in the Colonie area.
DC Gymanstics - offers summer gynmastics programs for girls age 6-12. Classes run from 9 am - 4pm.
Discovery Place Learning Center LLC
Discovery Place Learning Center LLC will begin offering summer camps beginning the summer of 2011.

Fiddlers Lane Nursery School
Fiddlers Lane Nursery School Summer Fun Program is located in Latham, NY and offers a summer program for children 2 1/2 - 6 years of age and includes a snack. Weekly camps run from July 12 - August 6 and include themes: All about Me and Family; Once Upon a Time...Disney; Insects and Butterflies; At the Beach and In the Sand.

The Friends of Dyken Pond Center
The Friends of Dyken Pond Center holds a summer camprogram from 9:00 am to 3 pm. daily and includes afer care hours until 5 pm. Camps run from mid July to mid August and offer programs for children 6-14 in single weekly sessions. The camps focus on hands on outdoor activities.

The Hudson Valley Community College Kid on Campus offers several programs over the summer months including: athletic camps; circus theatrics; summer academy; summer educational program; technology enrichment and a theater workshop. JMU 4 Kids Summer Camps
JMU 4 Kids Summer Camps organizes three camps in the capital region. Camps are offered at Holy Names, Doane Stuart and St. Gregory's. Various themes and programs are available. Camps run from June 25 - August 31 and prices vary based on age and program.

Jewish Community Center Camp
The Sidney Albert Jewish Community Center in Albany, NY offers camps from June 28 - September 3 for children age 3 - 15. The activities abound and include specialty camps such as Lego Camp; Dance Camp; Kidz Art Camp; Mad Science Camp and Adam Chaskin Basketball clinics. Activities include such events such as swimming, sports, arts and crafts and ropes courses.

Mad Science of the Capital District
Mad Science of the Capital District hosts three fun camps in various locations in the Capital District over the summer. Targeted toward children from Pre K to 6th grade. Topics include Jr Engineers, Machine Mania, Crazy Chemistry, The Birds and the Beasts and Shutter Bugs.

Cost: $125 per camp.
A New England Nanny
A New England Nanny offers a wide range of services from temporary nannies and babysitting services to full-time live in nannies. There is an agency fee in addition to the salary rate. The agency conducts a rigorous screening process and offers resources for parents.
Sage Colleges Pre-College Program for High School Students
Sage Colleges offers a pre-college program for high school students. Courses are offered in Summer Art and Design, Pre-College Liberal Arts Program and a Portfolio Presentation Workshop. Students in 11th, 12th may receive up to 3 college credits per course (fee applies). The program runs from July 9 - August 3, 2012.

Saint Gregory's has a summer camp for both boys and girls age 3 to 12 that runs June 28 - August 6. It includes group games, enrichment workshops, creative crafts, swimming instruction and free swim. Themes include Splash into Summer; Celebrate the Holidays; Summer Olympics; Time Machine; Wild Wild West; and Circus Circus.

The Schenectady Museum offers six 1-week camps and include themes: Explore the Milky Way; Peek a Nano; Wild and Wacky Weather; Gameology; Blast Off! and Mystery Solvers. Camps run all day Monday-Friday.

Siena College offers sports camps for baseball, basketball, dance, lacross, soccer, softball and volleyball for children ages 5 -17. The program offers both day and overnight camps. Camps run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

St Pius X Loudonville
St Pius X Loudonville NY - Is a local PK-12 private Catholic school located in Loudonville. The school hosts summer camp programs for children age 4 and up. Half and full-day options are available. Included in the programs are:
Summer Adventures Program - For children K-2 that includes themes such as Eco Kids; Fairy Tale Camp; Back to the Farm; Space Odyssey and Super Safari.
Hours: 9 am - 3pm

Tiny Tots Summer Fun Program - For children aged 4 and 5. It includes outside play; arts and crafts; story time; music activities; games and water play. Snack and juice are provided

Summer Adventures at Proctors
Camp for aspiring artists
Proctors in Schenectady offers a summer camp for children ages six and older and offer full or half day sessions. The week long camps include theater related themes such as jazz dance, theater, improv and costume design.
Times Union Summer List
The Times Union maintains a list of summer programs in the Capital District. The current list is over 175 programs and are organized by city, age, gender and category. Categories include sports, overnight, recreational/day, arts/culture and educational camps.
Town of Guilderland Summer Camps
The Town of Guilderland offers summer sports camps, enrichment and day camps. The camps vary in age but there is something for any child age K-12. Most camps cost about $60-$100 and run approximately 2-2.5 hours several days a week. Sports include football, cheerleading, basketball, golf, fencing, tennis and golf.
Guilderland also offers a summer day camp for children with special needs
Tri-City Fitness offers full and half day tennis programs for juniors age 5-17. Morning clinics include drills, sports mechanics, rules and scoring. Afternoon sessions include match play and are intended for those who can serve and rally consistently.
Half Days: $210 week/$50 daily
Full Days: $270 week/$64 daily

Tumbling Tykes offers summer programs for 3-7 year olds. Camps run in half day increments and include activities such as: parachute play, organized games and sports, arts & crafts, cooking, music & movement, sprinkler time, dramatic play. Prices range from $55 - $95 based on number of days a week and program length.
