2. Methodist Guest House

This is a Christian based facility that started off in the 1970s as a place for missionaries to rest before moving on to their various stations across the region. The guest house also serves as a conference centre for corporate and religious meetings.

Though not as fancy as the other locations, the place is good for a quick stop over if you have trouble getting affordable accommodation in the city. The best thing about MGH is the location and setting which is equidistant to many other good places to visit in Nairobi.

If you are looking for a convenient base as you explore Nairobi and other surrounding areas, MGH is the best place to stay. However, if you are not moving around much you may feel a little bit disappointed as the service is just normal. Prices start from US$ 48 for bed and breakfast in a standard room

2. ACK Guest House

The ACK guest house is operated by the Anglican Church of Kenya and offers conference facilities and accommodation in Nairobi and Mombasa on the Kenyan coast. The best known of its facilities is located in Nairobi off Ngong Road a few meters from the Milimani law courts, a five minute drive from the city centre.

It is a Christian based operation that serves as an ideal place for the family away from the noise and traffic of the city. There are different types of accommodation available depending on your budget and prices start from US$ 55 for B&B in the basic plan.

Located in Kilimani off Ngong road in Nairobi, the guest house is only five minutes from the city centre which you can reach by taxi or by walking as you enjoy the sights of Nairobi.

One small disadvantage if the presence of a populated housing estate nearby which can get loud especially during school holidays with children playing in the street. Other than this small inconvenience, the inn is a lovely place to board during your stay in Nairobi. The prices are way below what you will pay in most Nairobi hotels for a comparable service.
