Hard Rock Cafe T-Shirts
Hard Rock Cafe T-Shirts Make Great Souvenirs
The Hard Rock Cafe is a hugely popular worldwide franchise. The restaurants are fun but I will admit that I have only ever eaten at one a few times and a couple of those times was in the now closed Ottawa, Canada location. The food was fine, if a bit pricey. The atmosphere, on the other hand, was great.
Since our first visit to the Hard Rock Cafe, we have discovered that the t-shirts make good, practical and affordable souvenirs of our vacations and therefore, we have a growing selection of Hard Rock Cafe shirts.
On this page you will find a few of our favorite HRC tees, as well as a few from the now gone Ottawa restaurant.
Pictures on this page used with permission from Thomas who has a webpage dedicated the t-shirts in his HRC collection.
Hard Rock Cafe Ottawa
When we ate at the HRC in Ottawa, we had an enjoyable meal in an atmosphere that was perfect for a family with teenage sons who love music. The free birthday ice cream concoction was a huge and unexpected hit and helped soften the blow of the final bill.
TripAdvisor.com had a number of reviews that I would call middling and that I would agree with. Jtg1961 summed it up nicely with, "Decent service and food on par with what you'd expect from any Hard Rock."
The Ottawa Hard Rock Cafe was located in the Byward Market, an exciting location in the downtown area. The draw as always was the rock memorabilia although the pub-style food was acceptable.
The Ottawa location had a room dedicated to The Beatles and some of the prized possessions in this restaurant included Elton John's tortoise shell sunglasses, Alanis Morissette's turtleneck as worn on the cover of Ironic and Elvis Presley's concert shirt from Las Vegas.
The Beginning of a Collection of Hard Rock Cafe Shirts
As an eBay power seller, I occasionally come across a few collectible Hard Rock Cafe t-shirts to sell on eBay. But just like the Roots Canada Ltd. ones that I find, I have a hard time getting the Hard Rock Cafe t-shirts past my husband and my sons. I am fairly certain that I have not sold nearly as many as I have brought home because they wind up in someone's closet, treasured and worn on a regular basis.
I'm not sure why we became collectors of Hard Rock Cafe t-shirts. It must be because they sell quality t-shirts which feature rock music themes and the city in which they are purchased. Initially, one was drawn to the Lisbon t-shirt shown here because of the music theme and the fact that it was from an exotic destination. We have never been to Lisbon!
People around the world are collecting these shirts for various reasons. I think that Hard Rock Cafe t-shirts are wonderful souvenirs and now, wherever we go, we go in search of a Hard Rock Cafe -- but not to eat, rather to buy souvenir t-shirts. I would rather buy a useful item like a t-shirt as a souvenir than another mug or trinket. How about you?
How about you? Do you have a Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt?
Ottawa Hard Rock Cafe T-Shirts
Shirts from the Ottawa HRC are hard to somewhat hard to find!
A specific Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt can be hard to find. If you are looking for a certain one, I recommend you bookmark this page and come back to see what becomes available from eBay. By the way, clicking on any of the links will simply take you to the seller's page about the item and in no way obligate you to bidding or purchasing the item.
Updated to say that now that our Ottawa store is gone there are, of course, no more Ottawa HRC tees being produced. That will likely make the existing ones more valuable on the resale market.
Hard Rock Cafe Paris T-Shirts
I have travelled to Paris and therefore this Hard Rock Cafe Paris shirt is a piece that I would like to own. Anyone who has been to Paris will likely appreciate the appeal.
Hard Rock Cafe Hawaii T-Shirts
I have also been to Hawaii and think a Hawaiian HRC shirt would be a great souvenir! I do love the hula girl pictured in the sunset on this picture!
