ASSOS
Assos is one of my favorite holiday locations. Is a small, historical town on the northern Aegean, I stay in Kervansaray Hotel which is an ancient Inn converted to a hotel located in the harbor. There are also many boutique hotels in the small port area.
The sea is crystal clear blue, cold but feels wonderful to swim. Small restaurants offer excellent food.
Assos has an ancient acropolis which is located on a cliff , the old village Behramkale is also near the acropolis. After visiting the ancient ruins, you can wander in Behramkale, purchase hand made lace from villagers and drink a Turkish coffee in the historical Coffee house which has a wonderful view.
Kervansaray Hotel is one of my favorite hotes.
An ancient inn converted as a hotel. As I love history, the hotel building which is a traditional stone house attracts me very much.
The hotel has a private beach, the service is good. Staff is friendly.

AYVALIK - The capital of olive
Olive Products
Ayvalik is one of our popular seaside places, many Turkish people have summer houses in Ayvalik. Also there are many good hotels.
Ayvalik is a historical town, in Ottoman Empire times many Greek citizens lived in the town, after the dependence war, the Greeks moved to Greece and Turkish people in Greece moved to Ayvalik. There are very beautiful old Ottoman Greek houses, and orthodox churches in the city.
In historical Cunda island, there are also very nice open-air restaurants which serve foods from Turkish and Greek mixed cuisine.
Ayvalik is surrounded with pine tree forests and the nearby, the Seytan Sofrasi (Devil's Table) has a splendid panorama of the archipelago along the Gulf of Ayvalik.
Dining, relaxing, swimming and boating are the things to do here in summer.
Turkey's best oilve oil is also produced in Ayvalik. You can buy oilve oil, olive soap.
Name Ayvalik comes from:
Ayvalik, the name of the city comes from the old name Kidonia, quich means quince in Greek. In Turkish quince means "ayva". So today it's called - Ayvalik

Troy
A wonderful place for Archaeology lovers. This is the city of Paris,Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world, and the brave, strong hector , mentioned in İlliad of Hommer.
There are nine layers of city ruins,Persians, Greek and Romans lived in the city during its 5000 years of existence. Trojan war took place in the sixth city's time..
All ruins are well kept, you can feel the history. The museum is small but rich. Also at the entrance of the ruins you can see a 10 meters high wooden horse (The Trojan Horse) , which is the symbol of the city
