Notice the hardwood floors and the beautiful view out the window. The wood for these floors was cut and milled right on the property at the mill built by Garner Rix, my great, great, great, great grandfather. The house was built by his son, Daniel Rix, and the wood floors were laid down by my great, great, grandfather, Garner Rix Dewey.

The door leads to a bathroom with another gorgeous view.

One of the two shared Bathrooms at Royalton Bed and Breakfast. Once used as a Birthing Room, this bathroom retains the look and feel of this historic home with features such as a claw foot tub while including modern amenities such as a shower. Out this window the gorgeous view is of the side yard, with fall foliage, snowy winter fields, spring flowers as well as the standing stones that delineate the path to the waterfall.

Pure Vermont Maple Syrup - Have a Taste of Vermont

Vermont produces the very best maple syrup anywhere on the planet. We tap Sugar Maple trees, boil down the sap and bottle it at just the right temperature. Don't miss the sweet natural flavor of pure Vermont maple syrup...

It's beautiful there, and I love Woodstock, VT. So many covered bridges.

The farmers markets in South Royalton go from May to October each Thursday from 3-6. There are other farmers markets in the area most other days all through the summer. In the winter most markets are on Saturdays. There are a few holiday or craft fairs on Sundays around the state.

Planning my trip so had to come back and refresh my memory. Do they have the Farmers Market in the summer on Thursdays? We also need to plan the trip after the law school there graduates as I know that is a busy time for you. I'm really looking forward to the visit.

Because I am basically shy I have never stayed in a B&B. I get nervous being around people I don't know. But you've made yours sound so warm and inviting. I'm sold on the gourmet coffee. And very intrigued that one of the rooms used to be the birthing room.

Nice lens! I live in Keene, NH, and we occasionally get over to Vermont, though I don't think we've been to Royalton yet. We'll have to check it when we get back from Brazil, which is where I am at the moment, and writing about it here on Squidoo!

We have a house near USC in Columbia. We originally bought it so our son would have an economical place to live while going to school. Since he graduated we haven't had any trouble keeping it rented. If we do, I'm going to use your lens as an example and build one of my own.

Wow! Only last night I was thinking that making a lens would be a great way to sell our home and you have provided a wonderful example! I'd rent your house... if I wasn't in the UK and moving somewhere completely different :-) Could I bring a horse?

If I were looking to rent and were (back) in Vermont, I would be SO interested in your farmhouse. It looks like it would be a PERFECT place for me to write my next book.
