Casa Maria
Casa Maria Music Bar
If you are not local - get a taxi! Casa Maria is on a track between Torrox Park and Torrox Costa.
Jam Session Night, Torrox Costa
Every Monday night Casa Maria has a Live Band playing from around ten o'clock. This band is the host band, but everybody who can sing or play or both gets a chance to perform.
Monday night is jam session night at Casa Maria. Blues, Rock, Country or whoever turns up to play or sing a song that night.
You never know what is going to happen and that's one of the things I love about Casa Maria.
Another thing is the mixed audience. The age stretch from teenagers to people in their seventies representing a wide range of nationalities. They all have one thing in common: they love music .
Casa Maria's jam session night starts around 10 p.m. It's a good idea to turn up a little earlier though - if you want to sit down. You can even get a bite to eat - chicken, salat, burger or rib - barbeque style.
So grab your guitar, grease your voice and put on your dancing shoes. You can let your hair down - at least til 2 o'clock in the morning.
Casa Maria Rocks!

What to do on a Monday night at Torrox Costa - 50 kilometers east of Malaga in Southern Spain?
Yes, you could take a stroll along the promenade, have a drink, a meal or an ice cream on a pavement cafe overlooking the sea.
And you could do people watching! Mind you, outside the season there are not really that many people to watch on a Monday night.
Don’t despair if you feel ready to let your hair down but don’t think you have anywhere to go. You do most certainly have somewhere to go !
That is if you like out of the ordinary , quirky, unpredictable happenings and jam sessions.

How To Find Casa Maria
Let me take you by the hand (a taxi would definitely be better ) and lead you through the rural triangle between Torrox Park, the Sea and Torrox Costa.
From Torrox Costa you drive to Torrox Park and turn left after El Pino Camping. When this road transform into a dirt track, you are not lost!
You are absolutely on the right track – the dirt track to Casa Maria!
Just follow the signs pointing to Casa Maria until you see an open garage. If it’s after 10 p.m. and pitch black - you can probably hear Casa Maria - long before you see it.
Don't expect a stylish, posh music venue! It is sort of Kitsch style in a non intended fashion, or maybe it’s more fair to say rough and ready with a raw concrete floor - just waiting for them musicians to play their guitars like ringing a bell or any other instrument for that matter.
