I am currently working with two bands. The primary band, The Robbie Limon Band is a very upbeat copy band doing music from the 1970s.
The side project is a blues trio, The Good, The Bad & The Blues which reunites me with Ralph Fortune and Ed Reedy. The band plays blues standards as well as original songs.
I spent 15 years as a guitarist only to switch to bass guitar because I could find more work. I played in my first night club at the age of 13. I had to have my mother drive the band there and stay as we were all under age. I'll become 60 years old in March of 2013. I never dreamed I'd live this long, but life has a way of playing tricks on you. I have been married three times...no the third time was not the charm.
I am a Viet Nam era veteran. I was a road musician for 12 years living out of hotel rooms and playing with very popular club bands. I have worked construction building bridge overpasses. I have worked for Southern Railway as a track maintenence assistant supervisor. I have worked at Lansdowne Conference Resort as a security officer. I became a certified paralegal and did paper work for several local law firms. I have worked for FEMA as a disaster assistance clerk as well as a driver on Mount Weather. I have also worked at a Family Dollar Distribution Center. These jobs helped supplement my income as well as help provide child support and medical insurance for my three daughters. The Viet Nam War still troubles me as does the American Civil War.
I hope you enjoy reading the musings on my site. Leave me a comment or message...I promise I will reply though it may take a little time..
