Dr. Darryl Winer holds a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, a Master’s degree and a Doctorate from the University of Northern Colorado. He worked for the City and County of Denver for 32 years, the last 13 years of which as the Director of Public Office Buildings, Central Services or the Utilities Division.  He won several awards, including Government Partner of the Year and the Outstanding Project of the Year from the US EPA, Energy Manager of the Year – Regional, twice, and Local once, from the Association of Energy Engineers, and won Denver’s Employee of the Year award.     Dr. Winer enjoys cooking for small and large groups and published a 286 page cookbook, Bubbie's Secrets (c) 2004, of family recipes, photos, and humor. In 2014, he published his second cookbook, High Living Cookbook - Adult Cuisine, containing first class recipes with cannabis (marijuana) as an ingredient.  He also built, owned and operated a franchised 86 seat fast food restaurant.  In 2011 he won the Sunflower green chili cookoff in Highlands Ranch Colorado.
