Cookbook Review: Bizymoms Cookbook
The only thing I enjoy more than preparing great recipes is discovering delicious and easy new recipe ideas. The Bizymoms Cookbook, written by Diana Ennen and Kelly Poelker really fits the bill! It contains more than 250 easy to make recipes that are both time saving and delicious.
The recipes that I have tried from the Bizymom's Cookbook meet all of my personal criteria for excellent recipes:
- They contain only a few ingredients.
- The ingredients are all things that I am familiar with.
- Most of the ingredients are things that I keep in my pantry, refrigerator, or freezer on a regular basis.
- The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
- My husband will eat most of the recipes.
- They taste great!
You'll be able to find great recipe ideas than even the most finicky eaters in your household will love, from kids who only like hot dogs, to grownups who think that food shouldn't be green, to those who are eating with good health in mind. The Bizymom's Cookbook collection of recipes was definitely put together with families in mind, and it has something for everyone.
My Favorite Bizymoms Cookbook Recipes:
Little Latin Meatballs (this recipe is available in the free sample)
Meatballs are a perennial favorite in my house, as is anything spicy. This dish is a great combination of both, because it incorporates jalapeno peppers in a traditional breadcrumbs, milk, and ground beef meatball mixture. They are just perfect for a covered dish dinner, an afternoon of tailgating , or just watching sports in the living room.
Delicious Stuffed Chicken (another one you can try from the free download)
This truly is a three-ingredient chicken recipe. All you need is chicken breasts, seasoned cream cheese, and crescent rolls. It is so easy to make, yet makes a beautiful presentation for a dinner party or special occasion. It tastes great, and is very likely to become a favorite in my household.
Apple Crisp (sorry, this one isn't in the free download)
I'm a big fan of all types of apple desserts, and I'm always on the lookout for new apple recipes. This super easy recipe combines fresh apples, butter, nuts, raisins, oatmeal, cinnamon, and a packaged cake mix for a microwave concoction that tastes great by itself or over vanilla ice cream. It's also teriffic topped with whipped cream with a little bit of cinnamon sprinkled on top.
