When the economy gets bad, and finding a job becomes a struggle, one of the first things that many people do is start complaining about outsourcing. "All of our jobs are going oversees! Because of China, India, and the Philippines, I can't find a job."

That is absolutely correct! Many jobs are being outsourced.

But is that a bad thing?

For someone who lacks creativity, avoids change, and thinks that there is only one way of doing everything, yes, outsourcing is a terrible thing that will ruin your life (while allowing you to purchase laptops for $1,000 instead of $10,000 a piece).

However, if you are a creative genius (much like myself), then every cloud has a silver lining. And if the title of this article didn't give it away, the silver lining to outsourcing is that you can, in fact, outsource your job search!

That's right. The very people who most American's are claiming are taking their jobs can actually find you a job - and for much cheaper than any American headhunting service would cost.

Whether you are struggling to find a job because of the bad economy, or whether you actually lost your job to outsourcing, read this article and you may discover that the curse with which you were once plagued has become your greatest blessing.

Your job search has hit you back harder than you ever hit it. With countless hours of resume submitting and email sending, you are worse off than you started off - jobless, bored, and depressed. The world truly seems to be sinking in around you.

The most annoying parts of finding a job are filling out those ridiculous applications over and over again. It feels as if the job is never done - and you never get the job! So even if you find someone who is hiring, the odds of them actually hiring you is very limited.

The key is to outsource this repetitive work that is driving you crazy to someone who will appreciate the opportunity to make some extra money. And this could be done for as little as $2-$3 per hour!

Additionally, have you ever heard the phrase, "What goes around comes around?" Or, for you Bible scholars, "Do onto others as you would have them do onto you...". How to Select an Outsourcer

I have discovered workers on a variety of websites, and each website as a different strength. For hiring individuals, hands down, Odesk is the best. You can post a job, select your outsourcer, and monitor their performance online - allowing you to know that they are doing the work they say they are. This is a great invention on the part of Odesk.

Although there are other websites that offer outsourcing, Odesk has been my favorite because of their ease of use and ability to track worker performance.

To hire the virtual assistant that will find you a job:

1. Create an account on Odesk.com.
2. Post a job saying that you are looking for a job. You can pay per hour or per task (state that while creating the job).
3. Applications for the job will start flooding in.
4. Look for applicants within your price range who have a good grasp of English. The individual does not need to speak fluently (you will provide all of the needed information), but will need to understand what he/she is reading and looking for.
5. Contact several potential applicants through private message to verify their English skills and understanding of the job.
6. Select your job professional and send the the needed information!

Information to Provide to Your Outsourcer

Now that you have your talented assistant selected, it is time to put him to work! Here is what you will need to provide your assistant with in order to apply for jobs on your behalf:

• Your resume. With your education and past experiences included, along with your private contact information, this should provide your information with the variety of content needed to apply for positions for you.
• Application information: I am sure that you are familiar with the other questions that are asked, have you been in the military, are you a felon, were you fired, are you a terrorist, can you work in America, etc. Include the correct answer to each of these questions in a document provided to your assistant. This should provide him with everything he needs to get going!
• Job specifications: What type of job are you looking for? Any interests, qualifications, or education that you have in a particular field? The more detail you give your assistant at this point, the better. If your assistant finds you a job, but it's at McDonald's and you have a PhD, it may not be the right move. Details, details, details.
• Job location: Will you relocate or do you need to stay in the local area? Remember, the more flexibility you give your assistant here, the more job opportunities they will be able to provide you with. Of course, if you have a family that you cannot leave,then there is no sense in looking for a job across the country.

Once your assistant has this information, you can forget about worrying about your job search anymore! It is someone else's responsibility. Of course, there is still no guarantee that you will find a job - especially if you have unrealistic expectations in respect to your actual amounts of experience or education. Additionally, the interviewing process will be all up to you - if the assistant can get you interviews, but you can't handle those, then their work is useless.

Find a quality virtual assistant, do your part, and the amount of time and stress you have to put into finding a job can be reduced greatly.

Outsourcing can only help you if you have an actual direction that you want to go in your career. If you cannot find a job after college or have just been laid off, and sincerely desire to work, then outsourcing your job search may be just right.

However, if you are wandering around, unsure of what to do in life, then it doesn't matter how many job interviews you receive, you will not be satisfied. You are looking for a job that is too good to be true.

If this is the case, then your solution may not be to find a job. Instead, maybe you need to create an awesome way to make millions. There are plenty of ideas out there, once you find one develop a business plan and you are good to go!

Personally, I started interviewing and concluded that there are not any traditional jobs that I am really interested in. The thought of working set hours, in an office, is not appealing to me. Therefore, I have decided to attempt to start my own businesses, make some side income online through writing, sweepstakes, and other random methods, and continue my education. With several ideas that I currently have, I am confident that I will be benefiting society while having fun in no time.

Regardless of how you decide to make a living; whether or not you outsource your job search; remember this: a job should provide three things.

1. A method of benefiting society.
2. The first step in wealth development.
3. An enjoyable way to occupy your time.

A job is not simply to help you survive from one day to the next. It should never be "just a job". When this happens, not only are you selfish by taking a job that someone else may likely need, but you are valuing your time at a few dollars an hour - you are worth far more than that.
