Paul continued as a developer at Microsoft working on search engines, match technologies, and scalable data systems. A Michigan native, Paul graduated from Tufts University with majors in computer science and economics.

Paul was part of the executive team at MongoMusic, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2000. Paul held group management positions at MSN Entertainment over product management, quality management, operations, and business management. Paul left Microsoft as the Group Product Manager of MSN Entertainment. Before MongoMusic and Microsoft, Paul was a developer at Hewlett Packard. Paul hails from San Luis Obispo, and graduated from California Polytechnic University.
Jay Reitz Co-Founder and Vice President of Engineering
Jay was a developer at MongoMusic at the time of its acquisition by Microsoft, and subsequently rose quickly in the Microsoft development organization. Starting as an individual contributor, five years later he left Microsoft as the Development Manager for MSN Entertainment. Jay grew up in Baltimore and Palo Alto, and studied computer science at Stanford University.
Jason Menayan Director of Marketing
Prior to his work at HubPages, Jason was a web producer at QuinStreet, managing its flagship education property, WorldWideLearn, and a technical producer at CNET, where he participated in the launch of Shopper.com's CPC affiliate listings. In a prior lifetime, Jason also worked on Comet and Mr Clean for Procter & Gamble, advised clients on emerging technologies at Stanford Research Institute, and taught English in Poland with the Peace Corps. Jason graduated with a BS in chemical engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Erasmus University in Rotterdam. In his spare time, Jason loves urban exploration, cooking, and dyalogues.

Maddie was a freelance writer and longtime Hubber before joining the HubPages team in an official capacity in March 2008. She writes on a variety of topics, from holistic health, to nutrition, to eating disorder awareness.

Prior to Storm, Ren was an investor at Partech International where he focused on software and internet investments. He was also Director of Product Management at Brightmail Inc (acquired by Symantec), and a programmer and a product manager at Tenfold Corporation – starting as one of the first employees and remaining through its successful IPO.
Ren holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business – UC Berkeley, a BS in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University and a BA in Business Management from Claremont McKenna College. He is also a Board member at ioda.
