Paul Deeds General Manager of HubPages
Before working at HubPages, Paul was a developer at MongoMusic. Paul is a prolific programmer and wrote a large percentage of the MongoMusic code base. Paul continued as a developer at Microsoft working on search engines, match technologies, and scalable data systems. A Michigan native, Paul graduated from Tufts University with a degree in computer science and quantitative economics.
Maddie Ruud Community Manager
Maddie was a freelance writer and longtime Hubber before joining the HubPages team in an official capacity in March 2008. She writes on a variety of topics, from holistic health, to nutrition, to eating disorder awareness.
Offline, Maddie enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, devouring literature, playing with language, and romping with her rescued dog.

Fawntia recently graduated from Stanford with a master's degree in computational and mathematical engineering. Before that, she majored in math at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. She enjoys traveling and cake decorating.
Larry Freeman Software Engineer
Larry has wide software experience. Larry has worked at Philips Electronics, GTE, Sun Microsystems, and recently at InterComponentware. He was on the original team at Sun that started the Java 2 Enterprise Edition Platform (J2EE) and started Java BluePrints at Sun. He grew up in Los Angeles and studied cognitive science at UCLA.
Larry loves movies, fantasy novels, and mathematics.
James Edmondson Graphic Designer
James has been working for HubPages since 2007. Prior to working for HubPages, James was a scooper at Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream, where he developed his shoddy work ethic and his biceps only got slightly bigger.
Outside of work, he enjoys getting his hands dirty on projects related to graphic design, and then washing them.
James is currently working on his Bachelor of Arts in graphic design from California College of the Arts.
