Because the plumbing theme of the Clogs to Coins contest is so specific, you actually have a great chance of winning. We've been getting 12-15 entries per day so far, and two of those are winning $50 each day. The odds are in your favor!
If you do not feel you have anything to write about, think again. Chances are you have a sink and a shower. You might even have a washing machine, pool, or sprinkler system. All of those features require maintenance, installation, cleaning, and repair- why not make a Hub about it? You don't have to write about your own personal plumbing projects, either. SimeyC just published a fascinating entry on how bathrooms work in space, and K9keystrokes put together some helpful tips on obtaining permits for plumbing projects.
For both weeks of the contest, the Weekly Topic Inspiration themes will be plumbing-related (this week, the theme is kitchen plumbing; next week, it shall be bathroom plumbing), so if you would like to get ideas, feedback, or support, feel free to join the group.
You can find the complete rules along with entry requirements and judging criteria on the official contest page. We hope you enter. In addition to winning $50 immediately, you may win $100, and even $500!

Because amazing new Hubbers start publishing on HubPages every week, the HubNuggets program was created to give them much needed attention. Each week, an Elite group of Hubbers selects 18 Hubs (written by new Hubbers) from three different categories. These Hubs are put together in a roundup Hub and the community votes for their favorites.
This week, Enelle Lamb rounded up the Hubs amidst the HubNuggets potluck and bake sale as the HubNuggets team collected funds for their annual charitable donations. Paired with the delicious treats were this week's nominees from the Arts and Design, Health, and Religion and Philosophy categories, and now that the community has finished voting (and enjoying the delectable food!), you can view the winners below!

Stolive Interviews SuperheroSales
The Grand Prize winner of the Share and Share a Like Contest talks about motivation, fun, & heroes
1. Would you mind telling us a little about you and your presence in the HubPages community? Who are you? How and why did you join HubPages? Is the picture of a seemingly happy flying dog on your profile representing what you would like your readers and fellow hubbers know about you?
I am a 29 year old who is a sports fanatic who loves to learn non-stop. A few months ago I tried out for a competitive flag football team and made it. I was so excited, but unfortunately chronic rib pain got the best of me and I had to drop out. I love playing sports more than anything, so coming to terms with the fact that I would no longer be able to compete was very difficult to me. I was in a dark place and was desperate to find my way out.
One day I was reading “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” and became particularly motivated by what I was reading. I jumped out of bed and pushed through my pain, finally getting through some chores I had been putting off. I felt great and I knew I had found a powerful motivator.
I really wanted to share my newly found motivation with my friends, so I began to blog. After carefully researching the different sites available, I determined that HubPages would be my best option as it is easy to use and has a very professional looking format with lots of creative options. Writing for HubPages has been very therapeutic and some of those who enjoy my work have commented that perhaps I was meant to be sidelined so I could spend more time helping others.
The picture of the happy flying dog (my dog, Abby) was a picture I drew on my computer to accompany my first blog, “Modern Day Superhero.” Unfortunately HubPages flagged the picture for being substandard (my lack of artistic ability, ha ha) and I had to remove it from my Hub, but I luckily got to keep it as my profile pic! It reminds me of the original spark of motivation I had to want to write and help others so I keep it as my good luck charm!
2. What about your pseudonym SuperHeroSales? When I first saw it, I thought: “This one should be another internet marketer.” What should your nickname tell us about you?
My pseudonym was also created through the original motivation that pulled me out of bed. The basic concept was that motivation is simply mind over matter. By convincing your mind that you are a “Superhero” and that nothing can stand in your way everything is possible. I finally settled on adding the ending “Sales” because I knew that I would need to get people to “buy in” to my ideas in order to improve their lives and reach their goals.
Unfortunately I did not think through the negative connotations of the word “Sales.” Hey, I’m a novice at all of this and I hadn’t thought it through obviously! Too late now! :P
3. You write to help people relax and have fun so as to make them feel better physically and mentally. How do you relate having fun with physical and mental wellbeing?
The two main motivators in life are avoiding pain and gaining pleasure. My aim is to help people avoid pain by giving them pleasure in the form of having fun. Having fun is a great distraction. I also feel like people learn more when they’re having fun because they’re fully engaged. I try to encourage people to do goofy things that are outside of their normal lives in order to grow.
4. I don’t know how true this is, but it seems that the rate of depression and suicide among comedians is quite high. What do you think about? What could be the weakest point of a comedian’s personality?
I could definitely see how comedians could experience a higher rate of depression. A comedian’s weakest point is that they are dependent on making others happy for their own happiness.
5. You joined HubPages 2 months ago, and in this short period of time you’ve produced 37 hubs and won 8 accolades. What’s the secret of such productivity and achievements?
The secret to productivity is to KEEP WRITING! Once you allow yourself to stop it is much harder to get going again. However, I am also going to contradict myself here and also encourage you all to get out there and enjoy life. If you don’t go out and experience new things your writing will dry up. It’s important to put yourself out there and try new things. Encourage others with your own courage! :D
6. Your writing style is engaging. To prove it, you got an Engaging Accolade. Which advice could you give for developing this style?
I feel that the recipe for creating engaging Hubs is to first make sure that you’re providing new and valuable information for your readers and that you’re not just regurgitating information from other sources. Stir things up by adding your own voice and personality and making your writing style unique. Finally, you must let your audience get to know you as a person. Think about the rise of social media and reality TV over scripted television and boring old news articles. You need to leave your audience with the sense that they know the real you and that you care about them as a reader.
7. A Day Has Passed. It’s Time for a New Photo Craze! Ostriching!, the funniest article I’ve ever read, was selected Hub of the Day (August 6, 2011) and made you won the $500 Grand Prize in our Share and Share a Like contest. Tell us please, does it frequently happen to you to mimic birds and animals? Describe to us the state of mind you were in when you received your prize? Which value did you give it?
Ha ha, it’s like you have a spy cam in my house! We have 3 cats, 2 dogs, and a guinea pig, so it’s hard not to join in. I suppose if you polled my roommate she’d let you know that I spend more time being the voice of my dogs, letting her know what they’re thinking with the accent that I think fits them best. You may be thinking I’m nuts, but I know I’m not the only one out there who does that!
When I found out that I had won the Share and Share a Like contest I was overwhelmed with a feeling of love. It’s so easy to feel doubts in your mind thinking that perhaps you are the only one who enjoys your writing- that what you’re doing isn’t making a difference to anyone. To feel the overwhelming support of my friends, family, and the HubPages community was so incredibly powerful to me. My heart was filled with love and I feel like it will take a lifetime to give it all back. Money comes and goes, but the love will stay.
I also felt relieved that I didn’t make a fool out of myself for no good reason, ha ha! I took a gamble and it paid off! Never be afraid to try- you never know what you’re missing out on!
8. In your Hub, Bringing Your Visions to Life: Vacation Visions, you recommend visualization and the law of attraction as means to bring to reality one’s dream. How acquainted are you to this law and technique? How do these law and technique really work? Do you believe that the power of the mind is unlimited? (if you do, please tell us what is the foundation of your belief)
I believe in the Law of Attraction on two levels. The first level is a spiritual level. A few years ago I created a vision board with just a few items on it. Within weeks I pretty much had everything on my list. For example, I placed a picture of a Jeep Wrangler on the vision board. The next day my Dad called me and said he found a cheap Jeep in the paper. I had not told him about my desire to own a Jeep or about my vision board. Granted, the Jeep was not the color I wanted and there was smoke coming out of the dashboard, but there were so many coincidences in those following weeks that I knew it had to be real.
The second level is my practical level. Have you ever learned something new and all of a sudden you see it EVERYWHERE? I feel that the practical Law of Attraction is that you become more alert to opportunities regarding that which you are thinking about. Whether it truly is a spiritual or practical application of directing your focus on that which you want, I 100% believe in its power. Your mind is your most powerful tool and you must never stop developing it and going after what you want most.
9. To close this interview, please answer the question you’ve been expecting that I’ve failed to ask you.
For some reason I expected you to ask me who my hero is, but I’m glad you didn’t because I have a TON of heroes! My lifelong heroes have definitely been my family members. I am continually amazed at the wonderful people that I am related to and I try to fashion myself after each of them. I may be biased, but I think I have the best family ever! I also have many friends and coworkers that have powerful traits that I love and want to incorporate into my own life. Finally, I will give you a peek into the biggest heroes of mine while I grew up: George Brett, the Ninja Turtles, Jim Carrey, and the Crocodile Hunter. That last list pretty much sums up my personality. :D
