Want to give your Hubs the best possible shot at success?

We've found that including certain elements in your Hubs can make a huge difference!

We used to have a special challenge called the Flagship Program which challenged Hubbers to create Hubs meeting a detailed set of very high standards. A total of 156 Hubs were published meeting these specific criteria, and now that they have been published for a while, we have come to discover just how much of a difference those standards have made. The average Flagship Hub has enjoyed an average monthly view count of 2,759 (that's about an average of 92 page views per day) and assuming a $6 CPM average, those Hubs ean around $16.50 each month. As Jason Menayan pointed out on our blog this Monday, these stats "should be heartening to any Hubber, particularly those whose traffic hasn’t “broken through” yet, since there is nothing magical about the Flagship Hub formula."

Are you interested in learning more about this recipe for a super-strong Hub? Check out the Pro Tips section of the newsletter! By carefully researching your title and topic and including the elements we outline, you'll be giving your Hub a major boost!

Happy Hubbing,

Hub Nuggets

This Week's HubNuggets

Every week, the HubNuggets team selects 18 Hubs from three different categories to be voted on in the weekly HubNuggets contest. These Hubs are written by Hubbers who are relatively new to the site, and the three Hubbers from each category who take home the most votes get special HubNugget accolades and are featured in our newsletter.

This week, before KoffeeKlatch Gals could round up nominees from the Personal Finance, Pets and Animals, and Holidays and Celebrations categories, they were stolen by a tribe of words, who demanded that the HubNuggets team solve a series of word puzzles before returning the precious Hubs. Thankfully, the team worked through the puzzles and recovered the nominees- while also realizing that, without words, none of these Hubs would be possible!

Now that the dust has settled and the community at large has had adequate time to vote, we can present you with the winners below.

A community-minded Hubber expounds on his HubPages goals and system for success

What winds have blown you to HubPages? Is this the place to be? What do you like best about HubPages?

I had been looking for an internet-based business for ages. The thought of working from home eventually interests me.... a lot. I found an article somewhere with links to HubPages, so I signed up to take a look and stayed to give it a go and evaluate it. This really is the best place to be for me. It is the place I spend most of my time when on the internet. The thing I like most about HubPages is the ease with which you can produce such professional looking articles. You can start earning very quickly as well, if you follow all the information provided to get you going.

Had you ever written prior to HubPages?

No, I had never written anything prior to HubPages. Only letters for job applications, which I was pretty good at, I must say!

What are your HubPages goals?

My immediate goal on HubPages is to complete the 30/30 Challenge then reach 10,000 page views. I am impatient by nature and this has been hard, working hard and writing the Hubs with, at times, mixed results in terms of views. I have to say that, as a result of the 30/30 Challenge, the momentum has started to build, and I hope that by the end I will be significantly closer to the 10k mark. Another one of my goals is to become a HubGreeter and I have just re-applied.

Speaking of the 30 Hubs in 30 Days Challenge, what has your experience been so far?

If you read my latest Hub which is titled "Next is the cry!" you will get the low down on what the challenge has done for me. Will I do it again? You bet! But can I have a few days off first...?

Of all the great Hubs you have composed, do you have a favorite?

My favourite Hub is always the one I am working on at that moment.

In some Hubs, you talk about a system that inspires you to success. Can you share something about it and the kind of success you are working towards?

My success system includes reading motivational books. I also believe that there is a higher power source that we can tap into, which will give us the results we desire. We have to ask for the help from the higher power. What we believe is there depends on the individual. Tapping into hidden energy takes practice and we should practice the system we use everyday. It is the only way to get good at something.

Your Hubs are reflective of a strong sense of community. What is your advice on helping other Hubbers make the most of HubPages?

In my profile on HubPages I talk about the need to help others. If we help enough other people to become successful our success will be automatic and guaranteed. Help others first is the motto. Yes, the community on HubPages is the most important thing. I have and I continue to link with some fantastic and inspiring people. I asked for help and I have received it in abundance from a very special friend. I won't embarrass Ardie here by saying her name for everyone to see...oops did I embarrass her? She is and will continue to be my best buddy here. Thanks Ardie, you are the best!
