Super Bowl LVIII

It's the Chiefs vs the 49ers again?!

This Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will play for the Super Bowl championship at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium!

It's the second time the two teams have faced one another off in the Super Bowl since 2020, when the Chiefs won 31–20. Going into 2024's match, the Chiefs are the defending champions, having won last year against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Throughout NFL history, the Chiefs have won three of the five Super Bowls they've made it to, winning in 1970, 2020, and 2023. Though not as strong as the Chiefs in recent years, the 49ers have made it to the Super Bowl seven times and won five. They clinched wins in 1982, 1985, 1989, 1990, and 1995.

This year, Usher will headline the high-profile halftime show, and there is speculation that special guests could include artists like Alicia Keys, Lil Jon, and Ludacris, all of whom Usher has had successful collaborations with. Still, whether a guest will make an appearance has yet to be disclosed; last year, Rihanna performed without any support!

The game will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, with country superstar Reba McEntire singing the national anthem before kick-off. Post Malone and Andra Day will also perform, singing “America the Beautiful” and “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” respectively.

In addition to the hype around the re-match between the Chiefs and 49ers and the event's musical performances, singer Taylor Swift is expected to attend in support of her partner, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Her presence at the games throughout the season has generated record-breaking viewership that the NFL has taken nearly every opportunity to capitalize on.

A cultural moment as much as a sporting event, this year's Super Bowl is sure to be as exciting as ever!

Quick Photo Editing Tips

Original photography is a great aspect of your articles on HubPages, but what should you do if your photos don't turn out as you hoped they would? Are they blurry, too zoomed out, or low quality overall? We've all been there, so don't fret!

Here are some basic photo editing techniques you can use to still feature your accidentally mediocre photography in your work.

  • Use a photo editor to enhance certain elements, from something as simple as your phone to more advanced programs like Canva or Photoshop. Pay special attention to the saturation and clarity of your photos. You can also easily zoom in and crop your photos to show off the subject(s) better in these editors as well!
  • Make a collage! Maybe your photos are low quality and won't fill up the width of the text, making them look even smaller. If so, try creating a collage and placing lower-quality images next to one another so pixelation is less obvious. This way, the images can "combine" to help create one that is closer to full-width.
  • Another suggestion is to source your top image from royalty-free websites like Unspalsh or Wikimedia Commons and use your lesser-quality images throughout the rest of the article. This ensures that the top image—the most important in the piece—is high quality and will help offset problems you've encountered with your other pictures throughout.
