   Foxes with mange?
   
   I need advice. For 3 years I've had a family of foxes visit our garden, some of which I have treated successfully for mange with the help of the Fox Welfare Society. My neighbor saw a different fox with advanced mange in her garden and called the RSPCA. who set a trap and caught one of our foxes by accident. The officer told her that the cub had the start of mange (which is treatable) and said they now dont treat mange in foxes and would have to put it to sleep. She actually shot the cub with a pistol in view of my 10 year old and reset the trap to catch the rest. This needs to stop. So angry.

   I dont know where you stand legaly on this issue, getting in touch with fox protecion is probably the best start, maybe thay can convince your neighbour, to come onto your side. Unfortunately since last years city fox attacks people have become afraid of them. It has to be said that the RSPCA is in my opinion the best animal rights society, especially when it comes to wildlife
