How To Draw Captain Hook
Draw Captain Hook
Captain Hook I've always wanted to try and draw and with the following drawing video I have had a first crack at it. Although not with any spectacular results, just a work in progress type of drawing and that's what you should try and aim for really. The first drawing will more often than not be not up to scratch, but something you can work on and this classic pirate called Captain Hook is no different. The idea is what matters most and the actual trying to challenge yourself to draw this classic Pirate figure can be more respectable as an artistic effort.
Like any other drawing it is best to think in terms of a foundational sketch first to create a good first attempt and in doing this, you create a blue print of how to draw something in a specific way. Drawing any types of figures really comes down to how you approach it and I approach it with a view to getting the figure right first, because if you do this, then you'll pretty much nail the piece of art that you are trying to achieve.
In the video below I have speeded up the initial sketch stages so as you to give you a rough idea on how to sketch and build up a Captain Hook Figure drawing and it does start off very sketchy as you'll see, but this is my way of working and it could be yours or maybe you have other ideas, but I like the way of sketching out in draft and seeing if I can find the drawing that I want to try and get as the end result.
I hope by the end of this drawing video you have been inspired to draw a pirate of some sort and what I mention at the start of the video is that drawing from action figures already provides great inspiration for you when drawing so always look for reference in some area as it isn't regarded as cheating, it's more on looking elsewhere for inspiration and drawing something unique and original as a result.
Go and draw Captain Hook for yourself....
