Drawing A Monster In 5 Steps

I recently bought a flip video camera and have since tested it out on Youtube with a five part series on drawing a monster, although I certainly do need to plan what I say or do my audio separate to the drawing as you can quite easily get distracted and end up not saying anything for a good few seconds, I felt it was a great first attempt.

The videos go through at least five steps of drawing a monster from start to finish and I enjoyed the process of putting them together.

You can see the videos below and I'll definitely be doing more, but will more than likely have to speak up a bit instead of whispering like I'm going to wake the kids or something.

Part 1: Making Shapes And Beginning The Monster Sketch

Part 2: Adding Beginning Details And Structure To Your Monster Sketch

Part 3: Adding Further Details On Your Monster Drawing

Part 4: Inking Your Monster Design

Part 5: Finishing Off Your Monster Drawing With A Bit Of Shading

I admire people who can draw like this, it is a real gift. Oh tattoos, oh fantastic,I bet you do those brilliantly too.

I do sell my art as I've sold some tattoos, just need to keep up with it, as for being an art teacher, I'd like to be, but just online....no hassle from naughty kids.

I hope to be doing more of those videos very soon!

      Cheers again Blondepoet!

Yeah thanks Robert, this was a good test with a camera doing something I love doing almost every single day.

I'm confident with drawing now on camera, just need to be confident speaking, so I'm thinking of doing both elements separate and then see what happens, maybe that might do the trick.

This is great. You have far less of that problem with pausing in narration than I did. I had much longer gaps without talking. Your focus was good, narration was a bit soft but I could follow it, great videos.

I need to get around to doing some of mine now that I've got the good camera. I got so distracted by the move that I didn't experiment with it again and need to install it on the netbook anyway.
