free cross stitch pattern Circus Bear
Circus History
The Ringling Brothers Circus was started in 1884 by a group of brothers in Wisconsin. Polar Bears were used in an act where they jumped through hoops of fire and other daring tricks. The original poster was from the early days of the circus before they merged with Barnum and Bailey in 1917.
Chart Dimensions
I made a pattern from this old circus poster. The pattern is done on 14 count red AIDA. You really need to use the red for the image to look right.
The stitch count is 137 wide by 103 high. Most of the color is different shades of white and gray for the bear, you use a total of 16 DMC colors.
I am looking for more circus posters to change into cross stitch charts and when I do, I will post them here.
