Data Entry Online? It's Probably a Scam.

Unfortunately, for those of you can can type at the speed of light and really want to work at home, data entry online jobs are usually scams. I hate to break the news to you, but it's true. They always say if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I'm not in the habit of listening to 'them' myself, but in this case, they are right.

All the hype and promises really sound great though, don't they?

Here's how the data entry online scam usually works:

  1. You spot a listing on Google, in Craigslist or even in your local Thrifty newspaper's ad column. You get excited over the promise of making so much money for so little effort.
  2. You follow the links or make the calls to secure your dream job doing data entry online.
  3. You find out that there's an administrative fee that will, in return, promise you thousands of job opportunities making money typing for cash.
  4. You pay the fee, only to find that either the listings are outdated or don't exist, or you must hunt down these opportunities yourself. Even worse, you're simply scammed out of your money with no additional contact from the company.

Finding Data Entry Online, Work From Home Can Be Done...

The Good News on Data Entry Online, Work From Home Jobs

Here's how data entry online really works.

It's not easy to find a full-time data entry job in your local area, let alone online. It's not very likely that you'll find a 40-hour per week data entry job online, but it is possible. If you are good at your job and have lady luck on your side, you might end up with a temporary gig that turns into something more permanent. You can find these opportunities, but you must be very careful and very selective.

Please always remember that finding work online, whether it's data entry or some other gig, is still considered work. You'll still have to put in your time, be on time (if that's required), fill quotas and do your best. You'll always have to do work to get paid. There are no free rides. If you're serious about making money online by utilizing your talents, there are millions of available jobs.
