Quantity, Quality, Money and Traffic Drive Oh my!

Updated on March 15, 2010

This hub was inspired by Rebecca E. hub Titled: "Fix It!? My Hub Score went up my Hub Score Went Down!" As well as: "Create a Following: Just a few simple points".

Quantity and quality which is better? I would say both are important when you want to make money writing online. I have a little scenario for you though for I have seen people dish out articles like they are a machine and get tons of hits on there articles. Is there article THAT good? How do these people get so many hits and comments? I belong to various writing sites so I am not pertaining to Hub pages here personally. I have read the these writing machines articles and I was not really that impressed to comment and say I liked it, but it was on a topic that was not in my particular interest, but still if you write it good enough you can make the biggest hater give it a try. So how in the world did they get so many hits? Maybe I am writing in the wrong market field and technical writing is where it’s at perhaps, or he is a semi successful author with a few PhD’s or something. OR maybe this guy is paying people to hit up his article. Yep I said it!

If You Want to Make Money your gotta Break a Few Eggs

They say if you want to make to make money you have to break a few eggs, which mean you gotta pay some to make some. Yes there are people out there that say for a low fee they can help you drive traffic to your articles. There are people out there that their jobs or mission is to help drive traffic to your site and comment. The low fee was just $2.00, but to me that just defeated the purpose of writing. I want my hits and comments to be earned not paid for. Plus with friends your can do the same thing all for free.

Paying It Forward: Driving Traffic Ring

Now this person wanted me to pay him to help me drive traffic to my articles. It seemed at his disposal he has people that’s whole existence was to read and rate and comment on articles. Well we can do this at no cost especially here at Hub Pages this idea could work well. We have followers and have made friends so let’s get together and form a writers ring. For example let say you’re got a group of 3 writers and we shall name them A, B, C. So writer “A” writes an article, then “B” and “C” help out by either tweeting ,Digging it , stumble upon it, post it on there website or their social network site that might enjoy it. Someone click on the link and poof you got a hit. Person “B” then writes an article so “A” and “B” then do the same, and so on. I have not tried this out personally but I have commented on say a random Hubber’s page and in turn they look at mine and read some of my articles make a comment maybe even become a follower. I have seen an improvement in my traffic and ratings in doing so, so imagine if you get a focused group together. Sky’s the limit if you just pay it forward writer’s style.
