Why do I have duplicate content when I removed it from another site to make it exclusive to HP only?
I have searched HP for the answer but I'm not quite understanding. I know duplicate content is frowned upon but I'm trying to move all my articles here on HP only and delete them from Squidoo. I find HP a better community and it isn't "ranked" like some popularity contest. I'm hoping it can be resolved otherwise I have deleted a pretty popular article
I have tried plagiarism checker and it says it's OK but I suspect google still has my old page stored somewhere even though I deleted it.
Get in ouch with the HP staff, sometimes when Google still has pages indexed, it will reflect on Hp as duplicate. Once you explain to the HP staff they may re-publish it.
Duplicate content is more than frowned upon, it is prohibited. I think Luis has the answer, contact the Hubpages admin and let them know you took it down off of another site.
I think that would be my only option, thank you for the advice on this. I just didn't want to contact them in case there was something else I could do first, I know they probably get so many messages about the same things I didn't want to be one of those people that's all.
I know no duplicates allowed for sure but as I said I just want to move everything to hubpages and I prefer it here so am removing it from Squidoo but as you said Luis Google has more than likely indexed it and I was not sure if it took time for it to just disappear before I could post

Given all the time spend world wide worrying about Panda and Google's poor quality and duplicate content comments, what the hell does this post from GOOGLE themselves mean. Talk about contradictory!http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot. … apers.html

Why does my hub keep saying it is a duplicate? It is my work. I even made many changes many times.I deleted it, rewrote it and tried to publish it again, after having made many changes. Still it says duplicate. It should not say this. It is my work.

Hello, here's something I've been wondering about for a while.I have a few articles on another site, which has recently announced that it's no longer going to pay international contributors. So I'm thinking it would be a good idea to move a couple of them over to HubPages (where we're...

The article in question was "Good Title and Caption Ideas for Content Creators". Here is the link to the unpublished page at least showing the url (https://discover.hubpages.com/technology/Caption-Ideas). I published this article on 2-21-22. There is usually a 1 day wait time for...

I found out this morning that this site had stolen at least 2 of my hubs. The more I looked, the more I noticed that it appears every single post on the site is a stolen hub, completely copied in most cases (including the authors' names and copyright notes, ironically). I see lots of names of...

Yes, I understand, the algorithm could settle. I'm not holding my breath though. What can Hubpages do to appease Google?I can see nothing less than:- Taking out the bottom 40% of articles in terms of quality.- Pre-approving each and every article like InfoBarrel. - Removing ALL duplicate content. -...
