How do I have four views on an unpublished hub?
I am working (slowly) on a new hub and it is unpublished as of yet. How is it that it shows on my account that it has four views?
those views will be yours from editing, your views count too in hubs.....jimmy
Oh. Thank you. I did not know that. I was afraid someone was seeing this hub before it was finished. That would not be so good since I only typed one paragraph before 'the block' set in....
Well said Jimmy! If I may add, that is why Google Analytics numbers are different than HubPages' statistics. Not to mention the the HP stats are on a 24 hour "rolling period" that updates every hour, not every 24 hours. JSMatthew~
I have 12 views to a hub I have only worked on one time. So I have only edited it one time, never actually gone to the page. 6 of those views showed up while I was on vacation. So no one admits it but admin have to be able to view them or something.
It is also possible that editing them just once can generate multiple views such as when you move capsules around, etc. But I'm pretty sure that if it is not published, then no one else can see it.
When I first started here, I wondered the same thing. I had not edited that many times. I asked in the Forum and was told that HP's search bots (or whatever) go to work even before the article is published and that counts as a view.
Now, I'm not 100% sure if this is correct, but it does kind of makes sense.
I would have more views than I had edited, that's for sure!
good question..although I haven't a clue, but will be checking back to read other's thoughts on the matter....

I know that our own views are counted on the stats page but I have not opened this hub to edit it today and yet I can see that I have had four visits!

Is it possible that, even when a Hub is in Idle Status, it could still be found on the Web and get views and thereby come out of Idle Status? I ask this because I was searching the Web on a subject and accidentally found a Hub and when I checked the Hubber's profile, this particular Hub was not...

First off, my hubs are transferred from Squidoo, and I am aware of various issues there. I'd already checked and edited hubs after the transition, so this is all post transfer. What I don't understand is why some of my hubs get unfeatured after I've edited them? One even got...

I really don't mind, terribly. They seem to vote them up, even before I've finished with them. The last Hub I published I was a few days working on, and it had over 20 views and a HubScore of like, 70, before I posted it.Is there a Super Secret Insiders Club you pay to get into ~so you can read...

How can a hub I have not published have a higher score than ones I have published?I just noticed this, and thought it was kind of funny, so does it have to do with the amount of words used, as there are a lot in this unpublished hub, and I may have to break it down into more than one hub. ...

My article with the highest traffic is getting an edit. What's the logic behind this this if it's top of the SERPs and pulls in 1800 daily views? Is it for a better user experience or to potentially get more views? I would have though hubs with less views could have done with being edited.
