Can someone explain (CPC cost per click) in Google Adwords?

I'm really confused as to the difference between Adwords and Adsense, what I have to pay for, and how to make money.  If I have a website, do I have to pay the CPC value on Adwords in order to have those ads on my website?  If so, how exactly do we make ad revenue this way??

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Hi Btulloh098. Try searching for some hubs on this topic. There are plenty available and they will help you break down your confusion. In short Google Adsense is an as serving program that  serves ads to your websites and pays you for someone looking at the advert. If the person clicks on the advert your get a higher payout as the content provider.
Google Adwords is mainly for advertising agencies and helps decide which advert will cost how much. I strongly recommend doing a hub search and looking through the forums to help you get your questions answered. Good Luck from Safiq. Ali Patel

Thanks! I had searched and read 2 hubpages articles, but somehow it didn't clear my confusion.  Thanks for your explanation!  I am doing both hub articles, and launching a website, so I was confused as to why I need to pay for ads on my website.

Adwords and Adsense are two sides of the same coin.

If you're trying to make money, then you're displaying AdSense ads on your website. You get paid when someone clicks on it.

If you're trying to get traffic, then you're buying AdWords ads to show on someone elses website. You pay Google whenever someone clicks on your ad.

The CPC is determined by the AdWords advertiser. They offer an amount, let's say $1.00. If you're the AdSense publisher, then the ad appears on your website. A visitor clicks on the ad. The AdWords advertiser pays $1.00 to Google, who takes a cut, and then they pass the rest on to you.

Without AdWords, there is no AdSense. This is why some pages show crappy ads and get pennies per click - there's no competition, and advertisers aren't bidding on the keywords associated with that content.
