Can I move Hubs from one account to another?
I have some Squidoo Hubs that were moved under another name and I would like to rewrite them and move them to my existing account. Do I need to unpublish them first before I take the information and move them?
All authors who had an existing HubPages account and had content transferred from Squidoo will have two accounts.
As you have observed, you have different login information for each of these accounts (email, password, etc.).
We strongly considered allowing accounts to be merged, but after looking at the whole technical picture we decided against it. If you only have a Lens or two it may not be such a big deal. However, for people with substantial traffic, we felt migrating them to their own brand new subdomain gave them the best opportunity to carry over their traffic with 301 redirects. This also helps avoid any confusion in regard to impacts on their existing HubPages traffic.
Accounts cannot be merged and manually moving your content is problematic for several reasons.
1. It is likely to show as duplicate because the original publish date from Squidoo only exists for the automatically transferred content.
2. It could have negative search engine results on your old account.
3. The content will not be subject to the Squidoo grace period.
Please make sure to not manually move your content to your old account if your would like to avoid the problems described.
You can find more about the Squidoo transfer process here.

Matthew Meyer,
I don't know if you still work here, hopefully you do, or somebody else who is capable will answer this.
I have a #1 HubPages/Bellatory article in Google serp, for certain keywords. It has been #1 for a long time, and accrued numerous excellent links and 165+ comments. I created it several years ago on Squidoo.
But when Squiddo became HubPages, my username was shortened, and there is no way to change it. HubPages has told me this twice. But my username is important for branding.
(I haven't invested any time in HubPages because of this unresolved issue, though I have ideas for numerous new and useful articles.)
HubPages reps suggested that I create a new account and rewrite the article. Of course, that's a big problem, because I would lose all incoming links and comments.
While inspecting the incoming links with MOZ tools, I see that HubPages and Bellatory added 301 redirects from Squidoo. So here's my question:
I have set up this new HubPages account and rewritten the article (but not posted it). I want to close the old account and 301 redirect to the rewritten article at the new location (on this new account). That way, I would at least retain the links, though all comments would be lost.
So can HubPages add a new 301 redirect, and edit the old one, to the new location when I post the article in this account?
I can provide whatever info you need in order to confirm that I own the old account too.
Please let me know. Thanks.

Is it wise to have more than one HubPages account? The reason I ask is that I already have two. However, I didn't "create" two accounts myself. What happened is the following: Years ago I created an account here on HubPages, but I never wrote a single word or use the account. THEN recently...

This may be hard to implement but it would be usefull:As an account grows too much it becomes unmanageable so I would like to move some hubs to another account or even better to be able to share a hub between several accounts. This would be also usefull for multi-authors hub sharing. For what I mean...

I decided not to leave hubpages but since my traffic was split in half several months ago it seems as if my subdomain is struggling to get back up.We all know that Google, the internet master, prefers niches sites over content farms (sites with multiple subjects). Given the newest update and...

Hey folks. I'm a long time member here and an SEO guy by trade. I love this platform and want to support it. I've been digging into Panda data, and I have a few suggestions. Let's work together and 'right the ship!' 1) Start a brand new account today. Fresh content is what Hubpages needs. Google...

See this article where they say they are experimenting with staff accounts:http://www.squidoohq.com/2011/09/13/wer … -accounts/I think they are prompted by the fact that HP appears to be slowly moving out of teh Panda penalty (albeit with some accounts seeing wild movements). Here's...
