Visions Of Success Based On A Plan

Sucess can mean more if you determine how you are going to get there and what you define as success to start with, planning for success is the most essential thing you can do, because to map out all the important achievements you have made so far on your lifes journey is the start of your journey to success, all you have to do is refine the following areas of your life:

  • How you intend to start out or how you have started out.
  • Where you expect to go from your starting point.
  • What you are going to do to achieve your goals, your mission.
  • What skills and tools you already possess.
  • Goals to aim for.
  • And last of all how you are going to get there.

Starting your roads journey

When starting out you might have some idea of what you want to do and it's usually a germ of an idea, but equally important is realising who you are and what you are really about, so that you can identify any important skills you have, but also so you can think later of what you really need to pick up on to be successful, to really evalaute who you are, you need to be writing a detailed profile of yourself, this will be something you can look back on later and hopefully it will be a useful document to keep looking at through your journey to success.

Your strengths and weaknesses must be laid bare at this stage, because you want to expose them for all they are, examining what you are good at and what you are rubbish at is vital for your acceptance of your own belief that you will be successful, out of good things come even better things if you want it to happen, then it will, so having a look into who you are and what you are about is very useful indeed.

Visualise who you want to be

Having goals is a really powerful thing and I mean solid goals, not dreams, dreams are powerful things too, but goals are more attainable at first than dreams, small goals in particular work very well and these can snowball into larger more reachable goals, so try and visualize your objectives about how you want to travel your road to success. Goals can be anything from changing your own attitude, to stopping bad habits, something that will ultimately help you achieve your largest goal of all and that is success, whether that is financial is entirely up to you.

Having a clear vision of what you want to achieve helps you get there much faster than not knowing what to do, it's about taking good actions based on that vision that produce results for you at the end of the day and nothing happens overnight, except perhaps the smallest goals that you have set for yourself.

Your mission

Your mission is the important route to take, it is all about the actions that will help you steer to the right path and make your vision a success, but it is ideally a strong decision that benefits your end goal too, by being a planned course of action you can successfully negotiate any potential obstacles that might get in the way, such as family and friends or current work commitments, if these are limiting your visions of success or are somehow getting in the way of you being at your best, it might be a good idea to tell them or someone how you feel about your future and what you hope to achieve and if they tell you to stop being foolish or something like that, then are no friends at all, good friends and family will support you and that's what you need.

Skills Tools Kit

By visualizing your current skills in a nice neat bag you are showing to yourself the skills that already have, but then you open the bag and it's not even full, so along the way you need to determine what other skills and tools you may need to fully realize your goals and also at this point it's good to dream, because you know you have the skills and the determination to help you no matter what. It's a measure of success, knowing what level you are up to and how you intend to progress from that point onwards, I know my skills need to be improved in the area of public speaking, because I know at some point I will be doing that, whether that's through teaching or seminars, I'll be doing it.

Mark off the goals

Goals are like landmarks, once you've been somewhere, you know you've been there and so it is a goal that has been marked off and this is what you should do when reaching specific goals, like this article, I set the simple goal of trying to write it at over 700 words and I've achieved that, small goals make good markers for the larger more impacting goals.

Deadlines can be realistic ways of reaching your landmark goals, timing yourself to reach specific points in your planned web of success are proven techniques for greatness and success follow those who are hard working enough. So a landmark could be going for a degree in a chosen area of work, this could take 3 years or so to complete, but it's an attainable goal nonetheless, is that all you would do or is there more to your string of landmark goals?

Work out how to get there and success will be yours

Drawing up a life map is an essential and powerful tool to help you plan your way of trekking through this thing called life, it helps you understand where the pitfalls lay and what to avoid, of course it also tells you to trial and error things out and make mistakes along the way to learn that way, but a plan also gives you something to work towards, something to hope for and work on your own terms, a chance at living your own life, the way you want it and not handed to you by fate.

If you tune your mind into what you want to get out of life, then you are half way there, just never lose focus of the fact that the secret to success is within you and is nothing to do with anyone else unless they give you sound advice and are part of your success filled destiny.
