I read somewhere that confidence comes from being prepared... I have to say in my own experience, this statement has been quite true. And as for creative thinking... this will help you come up with solutions that are not apparent to you at first and that have not been thought of by others. I have written a hub on how to get great creative ideas... Do take a look.

Creative thinking, using it and seeing what comes from that gives me confidence.

This confidence has worked in my favor to create different types of Art. But it also has given me enough confidence to believe I could learn anything if given the opportunity.
One day I woke up from a nap and thought, I want to learn the violin, by the end of the day I had a violin, bow and case and my first lesson scheduled.

My creative thinking can get out of hand... Easily. Because of this I learned to restrain it so I could remain on earth and focus. However, now I have an issue of bringing it back. So it remains hidden... until I get freaked out. Then my creative thoughts show through paranoid moments. It's really sad...

I like this question. My creative thinking technique is most effective in solving problems, I had proven this time and again and it really works for me to the point that my mind is always creating problems so that my creative ability will have something to do, he-he, such confidence huh? For example; My problem was "How to get my husband out from the hospital after 60 days of confinement with such accumulated bill which we no longer can afford to pay..." and with the strict hospital policy of , "no pay, no out"...
What I did was I sat and relax, close my eyes then imagine the problem of money or the bill as a black and scary giant cockroach  blocking me and my husband on our way home; then I tell myself that I am better than any huge but brainless cockroach because I got brains and creativity; then I spray it with a huge hoe of cockroach-killing pesticide that comes from a faucet of pesticides; i see in my visualization that the cockroach just disappeared; then I imagine my husband already lying asleep on his bed in our house. That same day, the hospital owner visited the hospital and I took the opportunity to talk to him...in the end he allowed us to go and free of all charges because they had an administrative case and in danger of closing their hospital for some malpractices of his employees.
I've done several other "visualization adventures" in this manner...they work...it's amazing.

Creativity, vision.imagination and innovation are gifts..everyone has them, but , many do not use them or understand them..nor do they understand those of us that do have the gifts and use them. Take the word humor for instance, a word which means the ability to perceive something funny or comical..although it is perceived in many different fashions..falling down for instance may seem funny to some but not to others...a play on words may be your humor, whereas others may need an explanation..Creative thinking and confidence are very important to success in what we do, it has gotten me out of many difficult and awkward social situations ( it's called thinking on your feet)...
