    Is anyone else scared about what will happen when the solar flare hits our magnetic field this year?

    Apparently a few months ago a large solar flare blasted off the sun and is heading our way. The Earth has a magnetic field that blocks these harmful waves, but this one is particularly big and it might affect us.

    Well I don't think the word scared is the right one to use. However, if you were to ask if we should be concerned, then I think the answer is yes. Are scientists and politicians telling us everything? Is this anything to do with NASA suspending their space shuttles and international space station programs? The number and size of the flares seems to be increasing and our ozone layer, that protects us seems to be decreasing, co-incidence or fate? If something really big was going to happen, I think we would be told but probably too late to do anything about it, otherwise we may be able to stop the "elite" from taking necessary precautions without including the rest of us.

    My emergency preparedness has an Evacuation Plan, so I don't get concerned about things...
