A Bobcat wouldn't attempt it on it's own. It would bring reinforcements, to ensure it's own survival. wink

Because bears hibernate, they rarely cross paths during the time of year when conflicts are common...winter. The females of both species are ferociously protective of their young and would take a stand up to but not including death on their behalf. It is much more common in our area for coyotes and wolves to attack the dens of other predators and kill their young, than chancing injury in direct confrontation with adults.
