Best Vocalists of the 80's,90's,00's and Beyond Part 5
So I finally decided to bring the men out to play! This is a continuation of my Best Vocalists series Parts 1, 2, 3,and 4. Go check those out if you haven't already and leave a comment about who you would like to see next on the list!
On with the list!
21. R. Kelly
"My minds telling me noooooo, but my body, my body is telling me yessss!!", Maybe he should have thought of that before those court cases? But I digress! There is no doubt that R. Kelly can truly sing. Legal battles aside, he is a soulful singer as well as inspirational song writer. I believe I can fly, one of his many popular songs, was one of my personal favorite songs from this particular artist. He was married to the deceased singer Aaliyah, while she was 15 and obviously underage, but they got their marriage annulled. He still continues to perform and write music for other artists.
22. Usher
Known around the world as the reigning King of R&B, Usher Raymond started out at a very young age being managed by P. Diddy and then Jermaine Dupree. He has won seven Grammy awards, four World Music Awards, six American Music Awards, and Twenty-Two Billboard awards. He is also an actor. He is known for his vocal performances on stage and his dancing.
23. Kc and Jojo
These two brothers rose to prominence with the group Jodeci. They eventually went off on their own to do solo projects. They are best known for their love songs. Their most successful song to date has been All My Life, a song that is usually used as the first dance at a wedding reception. Music runs in the family, as Fantasia Barrino, winner of American Idol is cousin of the duo.
24. Marc Anthony
No people he is not just one of Jennifer Lopez's many ex's. He was famous way before her, just in the Latin music world. Marc Anthony has been a force in the salsa charts since the 90's, reaching international stardom through his Spanish albums as well as his English ones. Marc is known for his powerful stage presence and his interaction with the crowd. I've seen him live, and let me tell you, there are many entertainers in this world that profess to be great singers, but Marc Anthony could put some of these "entertainers" to shame with his charm and vocal prowess. He is also an actor who was featured in films like El cantante and the now defunct TNT show Hawthorne.
25. Tiziano Ferro
Tiziano Ferro is an Italian Pop artist whose won Latin Grammy's and MTV Europe awards. He's said he is influenced by American R&B music and other artists of that genre. He sings in Spanish, English and Italian as well as sold millions of albums world wide.
