Saiyuki Reload Burial Ending Theme Song: Shiny Moon
The title of the music album is actually longer than that if you add the names of the 3 singers, which you can find under the words "Shiny Moon" on the CD cover.
The 3 singers are Seki Toshihiko (Sanzo), Hirata Hiroaki (Gojyo) & Hoshi Soichiro (Goku).
They are the seiyuus (voice actors) of 3 of the main characters of the Saiyuki series and they all have wonderfully awesome voices that just make the songs even better.
Their voices are also very distinct and they're easily distinguishable from each other so you know right away who's singing which part.
And yet their voices can also blend so well together.
You'll definitely be hearing Sanzo, Gojyo and Goku in these songs and you'll be reminded of the times that you heard them, whether in the anime, OVA or anywhere else.
Do you like the seiyuus of the Sanzo-ikkou?
If you look at the music album featured on the right from Amazon.com, you'll immediately notice that the item in question is labeled as simply "Shiny Moon".
While that is part of the title, the omission of the rest of the title can make it really hard to find this music album.
If you see the author of this album in Amazon.com, it's listed with a lot of question marks, which wouldn't mean anything to you and which is obviously incorrect.
There can also be much difficulty in trying to locate a track list for this album because of all the mislabeling in either the omission of the title or having a rather different title.

1. Shiny Moon
Was tomorrow swallowed by the moon? Was tomorrow eaten by the darkness?
— Shiny Moon (translated English lyrics)Shiny Moon by Sanzo, Gojyo, and Goku
This is actually the ending song of Saiyuki Reload Burial OVA. This song starts right away as you hear Sanzo's wonderful voice first of all.
Goku's voice comes next before there's a bit of an instrumental that really sets the tone of the song. You'll hear Gojyo's voice after the instrumental.
The song sounds solemn and serious with the voices of Sanzo, Gojyo and Goku sounding soft at times. Their voices blend so well together and yet they also sound just as amazing when singing some parts individually. The words "shiny moonlight" are sung in English.
The truth we were seeking during the endless time was far away. It was always distorted
— Shiny Moon (translated English lyrics)The translated lyrics has much meaning. There is also a lot of imagery particularly about the moon and the night, which makes sense because Saiyuki has many themes about this.
In the Burial OVA, there is also mentions of the moon and the night in relation to Komyou and Ukoku.
Here are some lines from the song: 'intertwined chains that the past has become ties us', 'proof of living only with pain', and 'moon climbs high, and we stare at the cold, blue sky'.
The song seems to be speaking of the Sanzo-ikkou all of whom have their own sad and tragic pasts to deal with.
The demons and darkness from their pasts are still haunting them as they still have their regrets and perceived weaknesses.
But, even with all the suffering that each of them had endured, they are still living. They are all still moving forward and not letting the darkness overtake them or overwhelm them. They haven't given up and they never will.
2. Waymarks
Mornings go around, leading a different tomorrow
— Waymarks (translated English lyrics)Waymarks by Sanzo, Gojyo, and Goku
This song also appears in Saiyuki Reload Vocal Album Volume 1. It sounds rather lively and fun with a catchy beat. The tune is also different with the voices of Sanzo, Gojyo and Goku shining through once again. The word "shout" is sung in English.
The translated lyrics has much meaning with words and phrases like 'the sun sings red', 'light falling in the west, the sun already rising', and 'spinning the same life'.
The song seems to be speaking of the Sanzo-ikkou as they continue to go on their journey to the west. There's a lot of mentions of the sun, red, light and life, which are all themes and imagery that the Saiyuki series touches on. The Sanzo-ikkou just keep on going to the west no matter what obstacles may be in their path.
How far do you go, even though you're broken?
— Waymarks (translated English lyrics)3. Destination
Destination by Sanzo, Gojyo and Goku
This song also appears in Saiyuki Reload Vocal Album Volume 2.
This song has a rather solemn tone to it and parts of it even sound serious.
The tone is catchy and the beat is good.
The voices of Sanzo, Gojyo and Goku really fit the song and, as always, their voices blend so well together and yet can still be distinguishable from one another.
The words "we can go to the destination, ever" are sung in English.
Eternity is false, only meaning is everything
— Destination (translated English lyrics)The translated lyrics has lots of meaning to it with words and phrases like 'saying "I'm alive" with only truth is probably enough', 'I continue passing through what's ahead, even if I'm expecting something', and 'grab the proof of strength that is overflowing from those hands'.
The song seems to be speaking of the Sanzo-ikkou and their journey to the west especially with the words about being able to get to their destination.
The Sanzo-ikkou just keep on traveling and moving forward no matter what obstacles may await them and no matter how much their tragic pasts may still be haunting them.
Even if there's nothing on the other side of the walls, we keep running
— Destination (translated English lyrics)What do you think of Saiyuki Reload Burial Ending Theme Song: Shiny Moon?
