Dances With Vacuums Part One When Dorothy Met Ruby.

Hi Guys - this was a joint effort between myself and Candie who both came up with the idea this morning and what a laugh we had playing music and talking about dancing vacuums..
The story shall carry on in several hubs as a saga for you to follow and links will be provided on each hub so you can back track and dont miss an episode.

Henry & Hetty Vacuum whilst Hetty was shopping at the Vacuum's grocery store, a very young was the sales assistant behind the counter and it was love at first sight when Hetty walked in. He rushed from behind the counter eager to impress the girl of his dreams and helped her do her shopping in the store, even giving her a discount.

Soon love grew between Henry and Hetty and Henry's father Howard along with Hetty's mother Edwina decided that both Henry and Hetty should be married as they were so much in love that it distracted them from their work. Once married Hetty fell ill and some months later after all the cleaning cravings and her hoover bag had swollen she seen the doctor.

He declared that Hetty was pregnant and that their would be a new edition to the Vacuum family, two months later the new edition arrived Dorothy..

Dorothy was a quick learner and very good cleaner, her mum Hetty hid a secret about Edwina, Dorothy's grandma who had been a once famous dancing vacuum too.Edwina had mingled with the stars of Hollywood and had made it big, Edwina had made her fortune and left Hollywood returning home to her beloved England. Where she met her husband Bill and they settled down, she had put her career behind her and had a beautiful daughter Hetty.

When Dorothy was 19 she graduated from Cleaning college and got a job working for a famous and talented singer Freddy, on her first day she was cleaning the house when Freddy came and asked here a question.

"I have to do a music video, and I need you to be in it, dont worry I will pay you extra for the time. Would you help me?" He asked. Dorothy was a little shell shocked, but she did not mind as it was something exciting she could tell her parents and the extra money would come in handy now that her mum was pregnant again. She agreed then Freddy went to get changed when he returned wearing womens clothes Dorothy was again shocked although she was fine with it as Freddy was her friend.

During the music video Freddy seen the Dorothy was a natural dancer, her posture and physique was almost fantastic, he complimented her and arranged for her to have dancing lessons as he knew she would one day be a big star.

At first her parents were strictly against it, but after talking to her Grandma about it she learned about the career Edwina had way back in the early days, and how it had all changed since then and if Freddy thinks she has it? then her Gran was right behind her, so her parents relented and allowed Dorothy to attend Lessons.

The Dyson School Of Vacuum Dancing, was a big building many stars had been trained here and Dorothy knew that she had a chance. Her family knew she had talent, Freddy knew she had talent and she could not fail them.

Her first day was the best when she met Hilda her dance teacher and instructor, paid for by Freddy himself, she learned to tango, waltz and salsa. Even Hilda complimented how natural and quick to learn Dorothy was, and how it would only be a matter of time before she would be ready for stage and screen.

Then it happened the door to the dance hall opened and in wheeled Ruby, she had been watching Dorothy from outside and was very jealous, as Ruby had a serious condition she had two left brushes, colour blindness and she had an Obsessive Cleaning Disorder. Even when she would bully the others she would still vacuum the floor.

Ruby said some very nasty things to Dorothy which made her cry, then Dorothy snapped and struck Ruby with her nozzle knocking Ruby off her wheels and to the floor, trying to get up and cleaning the floor obsessively Ruby called out and Hilda came running.

"Why Dorothy? Why would you do that?" asked Hilda, who had not heard Ruby's insults but when Dorothy tried to explain Ruby struck Dorothy causing Hilda to try to break it up.
"You two are going for time out!" said Hilda and she dragged them by their handles, out of the dance hall along the corridor and put them in separate rooms to cool off.

Dorothy was locked in the cupboard, "Where bad hoovers are kept" said Hilda as she locked the door, "Now cool off and I will let you out when you are going to be grown up about it." Ruby was locked in the next cupboard "And the same goes for you too Ruby"

Hilda left them in the cupboards and walked back along the corridor to dance hall.
